Yup, it's all about the fiber
Only 4 stars because some essays were smoke, not fire. And why no small mill owner? Or one of the many yarn dyers/hand painters that make a visit to an LYS so necessary?

A great way to celebrate your stash!
This was a delightful read. I was able to read a chapter here and a chapter there, whenever I had a moment to read. Each "yarn star" gave a different perspective on their stash and it gave me a new appreciation for my own stash. A light, fun read for any fiber enthusiast. I highly recommend it to any one who has a stash of their own.

Wonderful book of essays that warm my heart
Wonderful book of essays that warm my heart. I love many of the writers and especially enjoyed reading Stephanie Pearl-McFee discuss the need to cull her stash of yarn. As the owner of a fair amount of yarn, her essay gave me food for thought about what I really want from my stash. Enjoyable read for knitters.

Commonality of stashes
This book is not a read in bed book. You are either rolling with laughter or crying about the poignancy and sacredness if a loved one's stash. And it makes your own stash totally understandable. Long live the stash!!!

A must have for knitters!
I borrowed this book from a knitting friend, and had to buy a copy after the first essay.

The essays were delightful. As a knitter with a stash, I enjoyed hearing the viewpoints on how these folks came to have a stash - or not. The stories made me feel like I was hearing about the life of a good pal - open, funny, revealing, thoughtful. Thank you, Clara..

A stash of stories about stash
I am familiar with most of the contributors to this collection of stories and enjoyed getting to know them all a tiny bit better by reading their reflections on the subject of stash (in the context of knitting). Ultimately the book itself is a stash; a rambling collection of stories written by a diverse group of authors, as curated by Ms. Parkes. I would have loved it if I could have felt her hand in it a bit more, but apart from that it was an enjoyable read.

Not a great read. I enjoy knitting but this book makes me feel bad about my stash of yarn! The pages are rough cut, didn't realise this when buying it. will go to a charity shop when I have got through it. If I do!
