Trigalights are laser sealed borosilicate glass vials which are internally coated with phosphor injected with gaseous tritium (this is the special stuff) which reacts with the phosphor to create a cold energy which produces a low level light source with no filaments or heat dissipation and no risk of fire or explosion. They are unaffected by water, oil and most corrosive materials and require no external power source or exposure to light, remaining fail-safe and maintenance free with a lifetime in excess of 10-20 years. Because they are so small, they are ideal for gluing or sticking onto Military equipment, Fishing rods, bite indicators and other equipment that does not usually have an isotope slot. How Does it Work? trigalight works similar to a CRT tube, formerly used in TV screens. Like TV CRT tubes, our lights are built using a glass housing, a gas proof glass containment. The inner walls of this glass vessel are coated with a very thin layer of phosphorescent powder. This powder (zinc sulphide) has the ability to change electrical energy into light. The electric energy in case of the trigalight is generated by the tritium gas, a low radiation beta emitter. While decaying, the tritium looses its electrons. When such an electron hits the layer, it is captured and transformed into light. The colours of our trigalights are therefore not dependent on the gas filled in, but on the coating, which can be varied. Does its job well.
I fitted this tritium into my pen, as it had a slot for one, using uv clear resin, and it works wonderfully as you can see in the photos. This blue version is brighter than I expected in total darkness. Very pleased with the product. A very quick delivery as well.

Bright!
A lot brighter than expected, especially with night adjusted vision.I purchased a range of colours and green is by far the brightest, however that's not to say the others are dim! The output goes green 100%, yellow 80%, white 60%, ice-blue 60%, orange 40%, pink 40%, purple 30%, red 20%, blue 15%. Comparing the red to the green I would say the output seems more than 20% but the main difference is there is less "glare" and is more of a soft glow.Overall very happy with the vials, they're good quality for a good price.

The Green 1.5mm x 6mm Tritium vials are top shelf gear
I can only comment on the Green 1.5mm x 6mm Tritium vials because I bought five of those and they are awesome.Apparently tritium produces green light so if you need a tritium light, pick the green one.My recommendation is ***specifically*** "Green 1.5mm x 6mm Tritium vials"I bought five, they shine brighter than any tritium lights I bought before, and sadly, dont register above the background radiation in London.

Great option for DIY tritium installs
Super quick delivery even though they were not a prime item. I bought yellow and green vials - the small green vial is much brighter than others I have purchased and the large yellow vial is very bright for its size. These are fantastic to glue to things you need to find in the dark i.e. torches/keys etc. Use UV glue for a nice finish. Packaged very well an will definitely be buying more.

Nice and bright.
I was pleased that the glow from this tritium vials is brighter than I'd expected.I chose the ice blue 3mm x 22.5mm and would buy again.
