Light weight and solid construction. After years of wearing the device was deployed and did exactly what it was supposed to do and fortunately my son was able to get to his surfboard and make it in to shore when his lease broke.FYI you can not travel on an airplane with the pressurized cartridge. After years of taking the device all over central and South America coming back from Hawaii it was pulled from our checked luggage and a serious conversation ensued.
