These are great for detailing that is hard to do with tiny brushes. There is more control in holding a pen, and it is easier to get the lines and shapes you are working on than a paintbrush would. The colors are nicely pigmented and bright, and the lighter colors are slightly opaque but you can wait for it to dry and go over it again as needed for better coverage. An underpainting also helps porous surfaces absorb less paint and gives it a nice base coat to work with if you are familiar with that term. It is a lifesaver/painter's hack.It dries quickly, and for lasting results on painted rocks or decorative birdhouses, it is a good idea to pick up a UV-resistant anti-yellowing waterproof clear coat and paint your finished piece 1-2 coats to keep it lasting for years.If painting on glass, plastic, or metal the paint could scrape off over time. Sealing it may help prolong the life of the paint job. If using it to decorate the windows, to remove the artwork you can scrape it off with a flat razor, and then clean it with your usual window cleaner.Great multi-media use pens, decent coverage, for smaller projects and detailing. The cost comes out to .78 cents per paint marker, a good average price- less than a dollar each unless you want a premium high-quality set. If sharing with children/teens/craft groups/scouts you might consider ordering several sets.

These arrived quickly, and my son immediately put them to use. The colors are vibrant, the color selection is very good, and he loved how they can layer on top of each other in a way similar to acrylic paint--they will cover other colors if the colors are dry, but will blend a bit if the colors are still wet. For example, he was able to add white details and highlights over the other colors once they were dry. There was very little learning curve to getting good results from these markers--even though my son usually does his anime art with pen, pencil, and colored pencil, these markers quickly brought his drawings to life with bolder colors. The shape of the brush nib allows for fine detail work and for covering large areas in with color. They go on vibrant and clear, but they do not tend to bleed through paper, even standard quality printer paper, too much. If you are using printer paper you should put a scrap paper or other backer behind it to avoid any possible staining through, but it's really pretty minimal. I don't know how long the ink will last since we just got them, but we're very happy with them so far.

My son is an avid artist and I'm always looking for high quality drawing supplies for him. We haven't yet tried paint markers, and I was excited to receive these. Our first project was a coloring contest for a grocery store and they worked wonderfully. The drawing had to be done on a brown grocery sack, and I was so happy to the colors were bright and opaque on the brown paper. The paint flowed easily, no dripping, and was easy for my 7 and 9 year old to use. The pens have brush tips which don't allow super fine details, but are great for thicker lines, dots, and coloring in. I hope they will last through a lot of projects, so far they are my favorite pens to use and the set has a nice quantity of colors.

These are great! The ink flows easily, and the tips are good for brush lettering. There is a good assortment of colors, but I would have liked it if there was a better dark brown. There is one pen that the cap looks like a deep red-mauve, but the ink is more of brown with a red cast to it (often referred to as "Indian Red"). None of the oranges are really a "true" orange, and same goes for the greens, with no "grass" green or dark green. (Kind of important if you like drawing / painting landscapes.) They do cover each other up if you layer them, so there is no way to blend of colors to get something else. I dropped my review to 4 stars only because of the missing colors. But otherwise, I am quite happy with these markers, they write to smoothly!

We have a wonderful set of large planters on the promenade by the ocean where I live. Inside these planters are rock gardens that expand every day! (I put one in for my dad early, but room is getting sparse) The rock I originally painted is beautiful, but it was very difficult to write on, and looks a bit, (albeit charming) clumsy. These marking paints are perfect for rock detail, letters and messages, and I had better hurry and get some more done before there is no more room at all. There is a generous amount of pens and a great selection of colors to work with.

These are very nice. Paint flows well controlled, does not splash, just as expected. Coverage is good. Used for different crafts and it dries up nicely.

These are really fun for art projects. I'm not an artist but it's fun to have these pens for small art projects!

If you're considering getting these, just do it. You can't go wrong here. The color selection is excellent. The flow and coverage of these markers has exceeded my expectations. For what you are getting, the price cannot be beat. I can't think of a single way these could be any better. Maybe if they were scented. That's literally the only thing I can think of. I LOVE THESE PENS.
