I use this Sharper Image camcorder as a car-cam, Get one of those sticky mounts from the Dollar General store and the Chrome side of the camcorder stick like glue..(yes the other side of the camcorder is chrome, metal). makes great video,(CHARGE-Up first) in the house.. plug in the adapter cord into a cigarette lighter charger with the usb outlet (about 5 bucks) on Amazon. I can see car license numbers very clear and everything else is clear and in color. I didn't pay full price for this one, it was on special and the last one at that time from Samsonic on Amazon. It was 50 bucks, what a deal. Get an extra battery, I use mine mostly plugged-in. Sometimes if you crank the car with it plugged-in, the camcorder may try to protect itself and not come on, you have to take the battery out and that resets the camcorder. Just have the car started before you plug-in the cam. This camcorder started out as a Cobra product, I have one of the Cobras and they are the same Nice circuit board inside. The lens is a f 7.36mm aperture f/3.2..shutter speed 1/10sec-1/2650sec, EV settings, Light for night (very close, maybe 3 feet).. palm size, nice solid feel.. good quality overall (no cheap).. the Remote works from the front of the cam, so you can take 'selfies' Comes with instructions, cables, remote,software, nice padded box with flip-lid,works on Windows 7, XP, 98se, ME, 2000, Vista... PS.. does what Big camcorders do.. sturdy metal and covered with soft material in areas.. handsome looking, (the pics on Amazon are not very good, )good quality,, great video and pictures,, music and games also.. REMEMBER< this is a Palm Size camcorder, fits in your pocket, smaller buttons to work with. Does what I want it too. thanks.

I am very happy with the sharper image camera, it does vidio and still pics and alot more and has a remote control and i love that, I would recomend this product to everyone who wants this product because i realy like it, its every thing i wanted in one and that makes it so much easier to have it in one product.

I purchased this item in September, 2013. In February, 2014, the display began appearing upside-down with no way to correct it. I reviewed the manual but there was no information or contact information. I contacted Mitch Mel Corp, the seller, about the "one year warranty" advertised. They directed me to Sharper Image. After numerous emails over the past month neither party will honor any warranty. I am now stuck with a defective product. I advised the seller that I had now accepted my fate and would write an accurate review.The camera is neat but with an upside-down display it is very difficult to use.I would not recommend this product or seller because of my experience as described.

I was not that impressed with the video after viewing on my TV, I expected a much better viewing result, I was disappointed.

I've always loved this camera, the only trouble I have is keeping track of the charge cord. (my own fault)I didn't even look at the manual personally, if you're used to cameras and tech it's fairly easy to figure out. I've also found it's quite durable, I'm not exactly easy on the things I carry around in my purse and it's still alive and fine.. As for picture image quality, if you have good lighting it comes out perfect. It's not the camera made to fix your lighting problems. <3And I love it lets me play tetris! HA!

I got this camcorder to take on a trip for field experience. First and foremost the sound quality is AWFUL. You also definitely need an SD card to store anything. Many of the pictures came out dark. Definitely not worth the $40 I spent on it.

I ended up returning this item. It was not very user friendly and the manual that came with the product was a joke. I felt like I was trying to figure it out on my own because the instructions didn't explain things very well, and I became frustrated and just sent it back. I would not recommend this item and will definitely not purchase another product from this manufacturer.
