If it's any constellation, I would rate this 3.5 if I could.I actually received this item a few months ago from the seller purely for me to test out and review (not any kind of judgement sway) and I waited to write a review on it until now simply because I wasn't going to write a review based on a first impression. I have used these kinds of things before and have had bad experiences with them, so I know judgement is custom to change. However, to give my initial opinion of it, this thing managed to simultaneously go above and below my expectations; I was both impressed and let down. I was let down because it was a lot lighter and cheaper feeling than I would have expected, but maybe that's a biased opinion coming from a heavier (full setting) showerhead, but I was impressed because I didn't expect it to have two settings.. (Standard spray, and then a more stronger focused spray, although the focused spray is a bit flimsy and not extremely consistent.)After using this for a while I've grown comfortable with the weight of this, and nearly feel it is a luxury in a sense to have a showerhead that nearly weights nothing and is very thin, so no longer seeing that as a con, more so just a preference. Main thing I wanted to time test was the LED lights inside.. the first time I bought a showerhead with LED lights in it, the darned lights went out within a few weeks.. (and that one was stationed! So no chance of it dinging around and breaking that way) - - major let-down seeing as you would expect these to last for a very long time since they're powered purely on water-pressure.. so how do these ones hold up? They're still rockin'. Funny because this is a hand-held one and is prone to falls and such, so you would expect them to die out, but nope.I gave it a 3 star rating, and was debating between 3 and 4. Worth the price? It's a fun thing to use, but it's definitely not a luxury item in regards to functionality. The lights are neat, but the ones I've had in the past were much more bright and would light the entire bathroom up (these do not) - but heck, they're still working, and it's not as if the price is ridiculous, so these are a decent buy.

The showerhead is pretty great, being large. The lights were great, while they lasted. But in less than a month, they stopped working--like all of the other lighted showerheads I have tried. So don't buy this for the light show... We still use the showerhead even though the lights haven't worked in two or three years.

Good for the price. Don't expect any metal parts, it's all plastic. The face of the 8" is actually white plastic, not chrome. The LEDs work fine with no odd noises from the power generator, though they're not particularly bright as they're under the semi-opaque white plastic. If you want a cheap rain-type head this works well.Note that this is NOT a shower head for those of us with old or small water heaters or low water pressure. I installed this in my new house that I knew needed a new water heater. Before I replaced the water heater I could squeeze out a 7 minute shower with a 2.5 GPM rated head. With this installed it was more like 4 minutes. I'd guess this pulls around 3.5-4 GPM depending on your water pressure.

I love this shower head! It is very easy to install. I wish it came with an instruction but its OK, I figured it out myself. The stream is perfect and on top of that, the shower head changes colors. My 3 years old son will love this! You can adjust the position of the shower head as needed. As others have said, you may need an extension if you are very tall but for us, it is perfect. For $20, you can't go wrong! I would highly recommend this product to my friends and family especially with young kids!I will give you a simple instruction for installation:Unscrew your old shower head from the main pipe.Unscrew the cap from the shower headPlace the big white rubber ring inside the shower headPlace the small white rubber ring in the small metal rounded piecePlace the metal rounded piece through the cap that you unscrewed from the shower headScrew back the cap with the metal round inside the shower headScrew the metal round piece into the main pipeUse pliers or wrench to tighten the shower headI hope this instruction helps!

I loved this shower head it was powerful and I loved how bright the colors show up in the darker lighting. I accidentally left this at my old apartment so I hope the new owners love it as much as I did!

I was skeptical about this shower head because of past experience with rain shower heads. Most of the time they completely took away my water pressure. This head has a large head so are surrounded by water, but you still have a decent amount of pressure while obtaining the feel of rain. The lights are awesome. Nice for unwinding at the end of a hectic day.

Stopped working after a week

I wish the colors faded, they just switch back and forth. It's not really the look I was going for at all. Not relaxing in any way. But each color does stay on for about 5 seconds or so, so at least it's not a crazy rave in the bathroom. But even that might be better....
