Efficient Solar Panel Engineered Correctly
Hi I was asked to review this panel by the supplier for an unbiased and honest review. As an engineer I am always keen to test new products.The panel is designed with high efficiency solar cells and high quality materials so my initial impression was ok great it looks good let's get testing.The design is suited to outdoor use you are provided with metal caribener clips and loops on the outside so you can easily clip and mount this panel using a variety of methods great stuff.There is an outside zip with neoprene material which can be used to store the charging cable a small tablet or your mobile phone.The hard-wearing material and zips are all good quality I was suitably impressed.I tested the panel outside in the park on a reasonably bright September afternoon with hardly any clouds and temperature approx 18 deg centigrade so not ideal conditions but not bad for a test. All solar panels require a decent amount of sunlight to work efficiently so be mindful of this .The panel is capable of outputting 1.5 amps in ideal conditions using a high quality usb lead the leads are also important they carry the power from the panel to the device .I used this to charge my Samsung note 8, fitting an inline voltage tester I was suitably impressed voltage stable at 5 volts 800 maph. In ideal sunlight I have no doubt it would have easily output over 1 amp. The phone was left plugged in for 20 minutes I moved around between varying strengths of sunlight the power output remained reasonable consistent.So far I have been impressed by this unit it's obvious they have used high efficiency solar panels I am keen to use this up in the mountains for my next big hike I am sure it won't let me down.The only small criticism is the rubber cap on the usb output port could be a little more robust.A big thumbs up from an engineer who is a keen outdoor mountain man.I will be doing a review on my YouTube channel in the enxt few weeks time permitting so be sure to search for that .Outdoor Tech Trek Guy

Ok in very sunny weather.
With the summer we have had the charger had a fair amount of use when we were camping. We were very disappointed to find that the charger didn't work very well. However once we ditched the lead that came with the unit and used our own, it was a lot better. How it performs in a normal UK summer remains to be seen.

Pretty good but only in direct sunlight
Bought for s camping trip. It was good while there was strong sunlight. Not so good when there wasn’t.

I used this recently in Portugal whilst on the beach to charge my kindle/ iPhone- works well however it is big to carry around and if there is a smaller one on the market I would go for that

Received this item and been playing with it for a few days now and super impressed. It oozes quality, greats stitching, flexible light panels, light, comes with 4 clips, weather resistant, nice weather proof zip for storing your electronics in the pocket. Some technical specs for you.Blue Sky, sun out and about 20 degrees from the horizon and the panel was pushing out 5.2v and 1.3 amps which is about 7.5 watts. Considering all specs are theoretical maximums and wildly over estimated on all solar panels, this is actually awesome. With the sun higher in the sky, I have no doubt this will push out 8 - 9 watts, time and more testing will tell.USB cable supplied is standard USB 2 to Mini. You can plug any USB 2 to what ever you like into it.It will charge at 5volts which is your standard smartphone charging power, but it will obviously not fast charge your modern usb c type devices fast, but will charge them at normal rates.I have tested with a RavPower portable USB battery and I recommend you connect your battery pack to the charge and then your device to the battery. The battery will charge your device (if it is compatible) and the solar charge will keep the battery topped up. This stops the your device stop taking the charge away if a cloud comes over.So overall, for the price, I LOVE this item. Top notch and seriously recommend it.
