Review: 90 Nipple Love! - Impressive shower head at an impressive price. Let's break it down... ** IN THE BOX ** Along with the showerhead there is a small roll of teflon thread tape, rubber pipe gasket, in-pipe flow restrictor, and instructions. ** INSTALLATION ** Remove old shower head. Clean pipe threads. Apply 3 turns of pipe thread in a CLOCKWISE direction. Extend shower head extension pipe arm all the way out. If you want flow restriction, insert now, other insert pipe gasket. Attach shower head in a CLOCKWISE direction by hand until tight. Cover the plastic thread cap (nearest the pipe) with a cloth and tighten 1/4 turn with a pliers or pipe wrench using GENTLE pressure. The shower head can now be straightened by gentle turning the adjustment screw (nearest shower head) by hand. It will click. Once you have the general downward direction of the shower head placed, test for leaks. If it leaks at the pipe & shower head connection, gently tighten another 1/4 turn. Once you're ready you can position the shower head, by head, any which way you like . It will click letting you know it's locked. ** USAGE ** Turn water on to your favorite temperature and insert your glorious naked self under the shower head. Look up at the nipples. Yes, there are 90 nipples up there. Very supple nipples that can be squeezed for cleaning. With so many nipples I don't think I'm ever leaving the shower ever again. The 90 nipples provided me an even pressurized rain all over my smelly carcass. ** THOUGHTS ** The TH2.5 works like a charm. Big, even rain all over me. Just what I wanted. Installation was simple provided you have normal shower pipes and are a bit handy with some pliers. The joints articulate well with no movement once set. The joints, once set, should accommodate short and tall humans. I'm 6'1", the wild redhead is 5'7" so this head works amazingly well for both of us. Did I mention there were 90 nipples? ** POINTS OF INTEREST ** - flow is optional and NOT installed - joints articulate with a solid 'click' and stay in place - pipe tape and gasket are included - cover with cloth during final tightening to avoid scratching - gently squeeze the nipples to clean - looks like the USS Enterprise from the side... Aye, Aye Captain! - I just love saying the word 'nipples' Review: Love this shower head. Wonderful shower experience. - I've had a rain-type silver metal shower head that was installed in my house when I bought it. I've loved that shower head because it had a great flow and provided a refreshing shower. Periodically I would have to remove it, however, to clean it thoroughly because disgusting mildew would build up in the tips. But when I would reinstall it it would leak for a while and was hard to adjust and tighten. And it seemed like the mildew was building up a LOT quicker in recent months, so I was having to clean the shower head very often while still being concerned about the mildew issue. So I decided it was time to get a new shower head. I looked into a LOT of shower heads -- including hand held ones, one of which I chose for my guest bath. But I decide to go with this one because of the reviews, the reasonable price, and because it seemed most like my old shower head that I loved but simpler (which means less headaches to clean, install, and us). And I am SO glad I got this shower head. It is fabulous. It is much better than my old one, and I really wish I had gotten this sooner. I love that it has the soft tips that you can squeeze to remove any residue. It is SO easy to install. My old one had several moving pieces including two tightening screws, and I much prefer this one. It doesn't leak like my old one, and it provides a truly great shower experience. (FYI, I didn't install the conservation piece). When I got it, I was surprised at how big the shower head is. It is quite a bit larger than my old shower head, and I thought it was large. I like that it is plastic and not metal. I really enjoy taking a shower, and it really rinses well and is so soothing. I plan to try it with the conservation piece as well, but to be honest, that piece is so tiny, I didn't see it until after I had already installed the shower head (which literally took two minutes max to do). I HIGHLY recommend the Thunderhead and have already suggested it to friends. It provides a wonderful shower experience. It would be nice if it came in beige (which would better match my shower) in addition to white, but that is a minor issue with me considering how fabulous this shower is. I already feel so much better not having to worry about the mildew issues with this shower head. Between the soft tips that you can squeeze to remove residue and the ease of putting it on and taking it off (if I want to clean it more thoroughly and when I install the conservation piece), I feel SO much better about my shower now. And that's on top of what a great shower it provides. Two big thumbs up for this great product!

More instruction would help
I have a little drip coming from the pipe where the shower head attaches. I tried the installation twice and even watched a video about how to use the Teflon tape. The shower head that I replaced did not require tape and did not drip. However, the thunderhead is a better shower head. A lot more water comes out of it, and the head stays where you put it (though I wouldn't plan on encouraging your family and guests to adjust it -- it's unlikely that they would grab the fitting as recommended, and then you might have a broken pipe). My main complaint with this product is that no instructions on adjustment are included with the product, nor could I find one on-line (The company put a video on-line, but it's mainly the inventor talking.) So, it's hard to know whether I've taken full advantage of the adjustability aspect, and I have not been able to tilt the head towards the wall as the inventor has apparently done in the video. If you are attracted to this product because of the adjustability and ease of installation, I definitely recommend buying this one rather than the similar WaterPik one. I had two of those, and the heads on both flopped down and had to be tied up for anyone to get under them. This one will stay where you put it and delivers a lot more water with more pressure.

Nice Showerhead for TALL people
I've had this shower head for a little over two months. I'm over all extremely happy with it. The good: First and foremost I am 6'5'' and have always had to duck, crouch, bend, or otherwise contort my body to fit under traditional shower heads. This shower head is extensible enough for me to comfortably stand underneath it with about an inch to inch and a half of room. That alone was worth 5 stars for me. However, there is plenty more. Secondly, there is a wonderful amount of pressure evenly spread across the entire head. A note of suggestion you will probably want to remove the flow regulator before installing it. I have very good water pressure, but would have liked to have removed the water flow regulator to get more of a massage feeling and less of a rain. The final big thing I can promote about this shower head is that it was ridiculously easy to install. I have never installed a shower head before and was imagining my bathroom turning into the Titanic, this was about as easy to install as a light bulb...seriously I'm not joking that is about the gist of the directions. The bad: Honestly I have a hard time with talking about the bad, but I want to give you a good well rounded review so here we go. First, the little nubs often get clogged. Now keep in mind I live in an area that has very hard water so I'm not surprised that they get clogged easily. Additionally, these nubs couldn't be easier to clear. Just run an hand or finger across the problem nubs and you are good to go. Also, just do it as a daily habit after your shower to keep it all nice and clean. Secondly, A little lower preassure than I would have enjoyed, but again as I said above this could have also been helped by taking out th e water flow regulator, but I don't want to take it out right now (see Titanic fear above). Finally just a small tip. I don't think the product description mentions that it comes with valve sealant tape. Well if it does it is not very clear. I ended up buying some sealant tape not knowing that the shower head comes with a small roll. On that note the roll is probably enough for two applications, so keep that in mind when you are wrapping it. Overall: Excellent shower head would recommend to any one especially other tall people.

Thanks Thunderhead, your showerhead is awesome.
This is awesome; I got a good amount of water pressure coming out of this Canadian showerhead, and it is evenly dispersed. It doesn't quite look like the picture, since the photo is a side view. It's actually pretty big. My Mom thought it was ugly with the (commonly purchased with product suggestion) pipe extension, but quickly overlooked the cosmetic appeal with the showerhead performance once she got to try it out. The joints of the acrobatic positioning options are kind of hard to move around, but I suppose it has to be like that so it doesn't move itself as you shower. The company claims that hardwater buildup is easy to remove due to their product's design (the nozzles are puffy vinyl). For now I will give this a full five stars just because of the superior performance over all the other showerheads I have ever tried, but I have yet to see if it will stand the test of time (like mildew, scum, and hardwater build-up). Update: this Thunderhead shower head is still going great a full 3 years now. I donโt like showering anywhere else. When hardwater builds up enough to affect the trajectory of the water beams, I can simply pinch the rubber nozzles and the water stream regains itโs alignment. I have no mildew issues or have had any other such problems with this product. I think I will have to get more of them for my other family's houses too (that way I can shower at their houses without being annoyed by inferior shower heads; geez, I have become such a shower head snob).

Does not work with a diverter valve. Poorly designed threading.
This is a good shower head but it has a few design flaws. Firstly, it has a quarter inch lip before the threads start. That means using this shower head with a diverter is impossible as only 2 or 3 threads engage before it hits the body. I had to cut the lip off in order to get enough threads onto the diverter. Secondly, the threads are coarser than they should be and it doesnt have a seal at the base of the threads. That means you need to use a lot of plumber tape and put more torque than should be necessary on the threads to have the shower head seal properly and not leak. If you plan to use this head without a diverter then it will work for your, just use a lot of plumber tape on the pipe coming out of the wall. Otherwise, its big and delivers a good volume of water, feels like its well put together. Personally, I think it looks a little ugly for the price but that's my opinion.

Would i recommend to others
Short review: Would I buy this again? Would i recommend to others? The answer to both is an enthusiastic yes. Longer review: This is a nice, powerful, and inexpensive rain shower. My home's water pressure isn't great, so I'm happy that this compensates for that deficiency so well. The adjustable arm is also very helpful to cope with whatever idiotic geometry your home builder chose for the shower plumbing. I would only humbly offer a couple of suggestions to the manufacturer: 1) I see no harm in doing a version with fancier materials of construction. I also bought the "KES LP150 Bathroom Handheld Shower Head with Extra Long Hose and Bracket Holder, Brushed Stainless Steel" to complement the rain shower. I would have no problem paying an additional 20 USD for a version that uses the same brushed stainless steel as the KES. 2) Another note to take from the KES: the interface to threads. The KES unit uses a nut and a gasket to connect to shower threads. As a result, one only needs about a half-centimeter of threads to make a good seal. The Thunderhead, on the other hand, requires more than a centimeter (or more than is available on a shower head diverter) to make a good seal unless you add ample PTFE tape (which is included). There should just be a seal that works. The tape is too silly and untidy. I would pay an additional 10 USD to have a version that does this better. On the other hand, if you're going directly from the wall to the Thunderhead, then my #2 complain will apply far less and in that case the review is closer to a 5-star for me. This is why I ultimately gave the system a 5: When used as advertised, it's pretty damn good.

Pressure not as good as advertised
The reviews and the site description led me to believe this was the shower head for us. WRONG! Our home is about 40 years old and the pressure to our bathroom at the back of the house is not the best especially for showers. We previously had a Waterpik handheld that offered 2 settings for increased water pressure plus the various massage settings on the hand set. It broke so I was in the market for a new one. I thought this one was a no brainer since it touts increased pressure as well as the nice big rain shower you get. Installed it as directed and tested it out. Although there is a nice big head to get you wet, the pressure is fair. I tried to remove the flow thingy as other reviewers had suggested but could not get it out without breaking it. The consensus from my household is that it'd be a great showerhead if we could increase the pressure as we did with our old one. Unfortunately the government has seen to it that all shower heads restrict water flow for water conservation which is why ones like our previous head don't exist in the US. I wish the government would stay out of our shower!! We've settled on the Delta In2ition which has a big shower head AND hand held. Pressure is slightly better on the Delta but not ideal. At least I can set the massage setting to get a little bit better. I will have to consider what else I can do that doesn't require renovating my plumbing system. It all comes down to this....showerheads will not improve water pressure especially with the government butting in!!
