Splitfish FragFX Piranha Controller (PS3/PC)

Please note, I play on the PS3 and to my knowledge this mouse can only be used on the PS3. Also, a good mouse is only half the battle, you need a good mouse mat as well. I use the Razer Vespula Gaming Mouse Mat - Dual Sided To begin, this mouse is nothing short of fantastic. It has revolutionised my gaming. I have a lot of experience playing Call of Duty and consider myself to be a very good at it. I used to use the dualshock. On Team Deathmatch my ratio was around 2.30. I kept seeing people on the leaderboards with ratios of 5, 6 ,7 and even higher. Very rare ratios but still they were there. I knew that they must be doing something differently. So I looked on the internet and found that some people were using mice to play. I never even knew that could be done. I researched some mice on the internet and came up with this one. The sensitivity dial on it goes from 1 to 10. The trick is to get a good balance between this sensitivity and the one in the game (the one you change in options). Basically, the in-game sensitivity controls your up,down,left and right speed and the 'dialled' sensitivity (the one on the mouse) controls the mouse's responsiveness. When I play I am several feet away from a 37" tv. I sit on my living room couch. Through trial and error I have found that an in-game sensitivity of 9 and a dialled sensitivity of 3 work best. Anything higher I find is just too fast. Maybe your setup is different but I hope this saves you some time should you decide to purchase. The mouse comes with a dongle that in effect represents the left half of a dualshock. You have the option to button map should you so wish. I would stick with the default if i were you, save for swapping the grenade and crouch buttons with each other (much easier). This mouse is wired (which I like) and the build is lightweight so treat it well. The dongle may be a bit large for some. If you purchase this mouse you will not look back. It's magic is that it has great accuracy at great speed. It has at least doubled my ratio on team deathmatch (currently 4.69 and rising) and has been more than worth the money to me.

It works. Be worn that there is a small delay in working but menagable...

The thing that i hate more of this controller is the mouse... Who had the idea to make a mouse so small? If the mouse was the size of the wireless one would be much better but the reason i bought this one is because i do'nt like wireless hardware and wanted to play Killzone3 and even that, most of the times it sucks because of the mouse lag and the dificulty to handle it because of the size...

After 250 hours of bf3 the frag fx is still going strong. Makes me a better player for sure, I can't play without mine now! Far more accurate and faster than the normal ps3 controller . Not that good for the air craft but as a solider excellent !

This was a well packaged well made product, which is what I expected. I was looking forward to using this on the PC only, as I'm not used to keyboard/mouse. I plugged it in and set up the key bindings for the controller, but despite my best efforts the mouse would not work. I contacted Splitfish who then informed me that it wasn't optimised for PC, despite being advertised for PC use. Got a full refund but would have preferred to have the controller working for PC gaming. Very disappointing, apparently good product, poor description/advertising.

Rápido de instalar o configurar y con varios modos de uso, muy bueno para los que somos usuarios de juegos de PC con ratón y queremos esa agilidad también en la PS3

cette manette de jeu est un très bon compromis. a prix abordable elle offre un plaisir de jeu différent pour les fps.le seul bémol est le fil qui n'est jamais très agréable mais d'un autre côté il n'y a aucun décrochage ni perturbation dû au interférences.au bout de quelques semaine de jeu (intensif) il apparait un problème avec le munchuck, la molette de direction ne reste plus parfaitement au centre, cet effet est désagréable dans le jeu.le service après vente d'amazon a bien assuré car je les ai appelé et n'ayant plus ce modèle en stock actuellement ils m'ont repris l'article sans broncher et me l'on remboursé.j'ai commandé le sharck pour remplacer, on verra bien.

Ich habe mir den splitfish piranha gekauft, um ein besseres bzw gewohnteres spielgefühl bei shootern auf der PS3 zu bekommen. Dies ist nicht meine erste PS3-maus, zuvor habe ich den Frag Fx Pro Wireless von Splitfish benutzt. damit war das spielgefühl nach einigen updates wirklich sehr sehr viel besser bzw. gewohnter für mich, jedoch gab es immer noch kleine kritikpunkte, wie feinabstimmung, präzision und auch das thema akkus/batterien spielte eine rolle dabei. der gute alte Frag Fx Pro war sehr energiehungrig und das Teil relativ schnell leer. nachdem die alte maus dann iwann ihren geist aufgab entschied ich mich mal für eine version mit kabel ohne zusätzlich benötigte akkus/batterien - den pirahna, der im vergleich zu den anderen modellen und anderen herstellern preislich wirklich sehr günstig liegt.versand war wie gewohnt sensationell schnell, packung und optik des teils wie beschrieben und auf den bildern zu sehen. die verarbeitung wirkt gut und solide. im gegensatz zu den kabellosen PS3-maus-modellen ist die "installation" sehr angenehm, plug and play. rein in die station, ps-knopf drücken und schon konnte es losgehen. mein testspiel hierbei war "call of duty - black ops". maus-sensitivität kurz am stellrad auf 6-7 nachjustiert und los gings.ich war schwer beeindruckt, im gegensatz zum kabellosen modell lief es sofort flüssig, präzise und das gefühl war einfach total genial. ich bin pc-maus-spieler mit leib und seele und der Piranha bot mir dieses pc-maus-gefühl tatsächlich zu 98%!!ich habe auf anhieb meine fraganzahl im schnitt nahezu verdoppelt und kann shooter auf PS3 endlich in vollen zügen genießen. absolut genial, absolut zu empfehlen, absoluter vorteil für leute, die es gewohnt sind mit maus zu spielen. selbst für extreme distanzschüsse, wo es auf dem bildschirm auf feinstes zielen in einem nur wenige pixel großen bereich ankommt, gibts es eine schöne funktion, die die mausbewegung quasi in eine art zeitlupenmodus verlangsamt, womit man dann die letzten pixel feinstzielen super sauber hinbekommt.von den dimensionen ist die mausgröße angenehm (ich fand die Frag Fx Pro maus etwas zu groß geraten) die knöpfe sprechen gut an und die kabellänge von 3 m finde ich ausreichend.kurzum, ich bin restlos begeistert und erziele jede runde deutlich mehr abschüsse als mit dem standardgamepad. gesteigerter spielspaß für wenig geld, eine 100%ige kaufempfehlung und persönliche performance- und präzisionssteigerung bei shootern meinserseits. danke splitfish!

Für Personen die mit dem Pad nicht zurecht kommen sicherlich eine Alternative.Hat bei mir bei allen COD, MW und Battlefiels funktioniert.Qualität (Material) ist nicht oberklassen. Sollte nicht so oft auf den Boden fallen.Der Druckpunkt ist auch nicht so gut wie wie man es von vielen PC Mäusen her kennt aber für mich ok.Im Bekanntenkreis hatten sich auf meinen Kauf hin, vier weitere Freunde den Frag zugelegt.Drei waren wie ich sehr begeistert, einer konnte damit garnicht umgehen.Der Controller ist auf jeden fall zu empfehlen.Einfach mal Testen

La verdad es que no cumple al 100% las expectativas puestas en el, pero es de lo mejor que hay para consolas. Lamentablemente no deja de tener defectos a la hora de apuntar y demás, pero a rasgos generales cumple al 80% su función.
