If done properly it won’t work every time you have to dust the Matt with corn starch .Your design will be much stronger if you let the first coat dry wipe gently with a damp cloth then apply the second coat no corn starch for that one.I’ve been down there is a learning curve to this watching the YouTube videos on how to do this helped me tremendously good luck everybody

I was pretty excited to get the Sugar Veil heart topper to decorate my Valentine’s cookies. Unfortunately I could not get the hearts to separate from the mold without breaking. I tried several time after consulting the Sugar Veil website’s recommendations. Nothing worked. I have been successful with other Sugar Veil molds but not the hearts.

Finally getting around to using my sugarveil mats. They turned out perfect! I did dust mat with a little corn starch. Put in oven on 200° for 7 minutes then let cool under fan for 5-7 minutes. Wiped with damp cloth around the edges and let dry again for a few minutes and they are stunning!

Could not get it to set properly or release from the mat. I followed the instructions, but it is most likely user error or environment issues. On the plus side, I was able to use the mat as an impression mat for fondant, so it wasn't a complete loss.

I also bought the chocolate sugar veil and had no issues. I have tried making the white one on two different occasions and both times I had issues. I was able and did use all of it. But it didn’t work as easy. The mixing instructions were confusing as the chocolate was more straight forward.

They sold me an expired product! The expiration date was covered with a sticker that had a different date and the package also had a sticker with different instructions. The product did not work. It got super hard and stuck to the mat. Please do not buy this.

Followed directions precisely. Could not get the “lace” to come off the silicon in one piece. Wasted the entire batch of icing attempting to make the lace.
