No pro install=no rebates that = install cost only.
The unit works fantastic. To bad as a dyi I can't get the rebate. I wish it had an option for battery backup to run with no sun!

Awesome Unit. Will Pay for Itself.
We needed a heat pump for a new room expansion on our house. The contractor said the best he could provide was a unit with a SEER rating of 15. So I did some research and found this YMGI solar assisted unit. Our contractor installed it but I had a solar contractor install the solar panels because the HVAC company had no experience installing solar collectors. The unit comes with one solar panel which seems pretty good quality. However, I happened to be able to buy 3 new 330 watt panels for a very good price so I used those instead. I’ll use the one that came with the heat pump for something else. The quality of the unit seems very good. I did purchase an extended warranty because of my lack of experience with YMGI. I should note that I have a Goodman brand mini split unit which has worked flawlessly for 23 years. I hope the YMGI unit is as good. Overall I am very pleased with this purchase.
