Battery installation was pretty quick and easy, I've installed quite a few and had to put other parts in this phone already so Teardown wasn't bad at all battery fit like it should, cables were correct and it had a partial charge. Charged up and works so far.

Intense 1 hour and 50 minute operation. Could not have been better. Works beautifully. Signs to look for to tell you it's time to replace the battery;1) Note 8 tells you the charger is not functioning in fast charge mode. This was actually the battery going bad2) the phone wont sit level and rocks when pressed on the outside edge. This is because the battery is swelling3) The glass screen protector wont stay on. This is because the screen is curving due to the swelling battery.4) The seem on the side is begining to seperate. This is from a swelling battery5) This may be more difficult to notice over time, however after replacing the battery, you will remember how long you could go before needing a rechargeThis kit is very doable. You just need lots of patience in removing the back. I did purchase a replacement back, in case it broke during removal. However, mine did not break.If you have signs of swelling, don't hesitate to order the replacement. Once I recognized what was happening, it swelled to splitting the case within a couple of days. It did take a few weeks for me to understand what I was seeing. This is why I want to buy you some time by spelling out the signs to recognize. I hope it helps you.This kit had everything I needed. Battery worked so well I immediately ordered a second to have on hand for the next time.UPDATE:First replacement battery lasted a little longer that the OEM. I could not be happier. I have installed the second battery and am on track for the same excellent results of the first replacement. I have purchased a third to have on hand. I expected that I would buy a new battery for my Samsung Note8, pop it in and be all set.Wrong!Replacement of the smartphone battery is a high tech operation, best left to professionals.I destroyed the back and front covers. Then had to take apart the innards. There are 16 tiny screws, each needing to be placed to make a connection. I had to crawl around on the floor with a magnet to find the screws I droppedWell, I think you get the picture.I now own a Samsung Galaxy Note 10+ and I love it.I am a penny pincher, but not dumb. When the new phone needs the battery replaced, I'll pay to have it done by a pro.

Installed this battery in my Note 8 and it's working great. I also used some of these tools to put a battery in my iPad 12.9. This battery and kit was a good buy.

Replaced a note 8 (Verizon) oem battery from a refurbish that was buldging out. It started popping the back off of the phone and the screen was starting to show the battery pushing against it from within. This replacement battery corrected that! Amazing value compared to an $80 OEM replacement with service fees. Definitely a DIY bargain. The adhesive is strong and appears to be the same as OEM, and they say "extra" adhesive but it's the same as the original, strong and a pain to align but with patience and steady hands, works amazingly. Not all of the included tools are needed but you WILL need a heat gun for sure or you'll be cracking the back cover. All in all, an amazing bargain to save a $900 phone! (Retail at the time of review). Did not come with instructions but the internet is there should one need it.

Got this for a broken note 8 I bought online the battery had literally exploded it was so fat the back poped off the back of the phonethis kit was perfect came with everything to take the phone apart.. I only had to order a heat gun. Great little kitBattery life seams to be goodI installed the replacement battery in the phone checked to make sure it turned on then I turned off the phone and left it to slow charge on a NOT fast charger boxIt took about 2 hrs said the battery was fully charged then I started using the phoneWhen I say a not fast charger box I think it's a 2.0 I'll have to double check so u want half of that or less

Everything works!!! One problem though is the suction cup. When i first got it, it would not stick to the back of the screen. A quick fix to this is to dip the suction cup into hoy/boiling water.
