I had previously nailed some rope across the wall as a make-shift clothes line but this item is waaaaaay better and I'm not worried about it falling down. The retractable feature is great and it was fairly quick to install. It's held up really well so far (and I've used it a lot - there are currently 6 wet dresses hanging on the line as I type this). There's a bit of sag but I could probably shorten the line a bit more if I wanted to... Overall, very happy with this product!

This line was easy to install. I put it on the end post of my back patio. I added a hook to each post. When I needed to use the line, I pulled it across as far as needed. If it went past a post, I just hooked the line over the hook to support the line.I could put 10-15 wet towels, jeans, & t-shirts on it with no problem.Just needs some line support on its way across if you're going to put heavy items on it.Super disappointed it's not available now. I moved and left my last one behind.

I like this clothesline but when you add wet towels and swimsuits it stretches out quite a bit. I find myself resetting it often and it never really stretches straight across. Otherwise it is fine.

Pros: I wanted a small retractable clothes line to put under the deck for summer towels. This one installs easily and swivels so you have some leeway in where to place the hook on the other end. So far it's holding up well and I haven't had any problem with weight.Cons: None yet. It would have been nice if it came with a second hook so I could have short and long clothesline options without moving the hook.Overall this has been a great solution and it allows me to leave wet towels outside so they don't drip all over the house.

It's a good deal for the price. It is easy to install, and retracts when you want it to. The one I got was not held together too well, hence the 4 stars. I had to screw the two halves together again, and I'm still not sure it will hold together. So far, so good. I hung it just above head level, and with a full set of wet clothes on it, it sags down to about chest level. Some of this may be due to the sun warming up the line. This seems fine with me. If it continues to stay together, I will up my review.

the product is advertised as sturdy and able to hold towels. I did not have any towels on the line just some t shirts and light cotton clothing. I carefully loaded the line with pins turned around to walk away and the line going into the metal housing popped out. All the clothes hit the ground. There does not appear to be any way to get inside the metal housing to reattach the line. We used it twice before this occurred but we can't return it because we are 5 days past the 30 days to return window. Bummer of a purchase.

What a great invention. So simple and easy to use and the amazing thing is it works great in an apartment, a house, back yard and we recently used it when we went camping and needed to use to keep our clothes dry and fresh. I love it because it is very easy to use and convenient regardless of the size of your laundry load.

I love my new retractable clothesline. I hang dry most of my clothes and this clothesline holds quite a lot. The line itself is also not just a flimsy string. It is a heavy duty rubber line. It was super easy to install as well. It comes with the hardware for installation and when not in use, it folds against the wall. I just love it!!!!! I give this a big thumbs up and suggest anyone who needs a retractable clothesline, to purchase it.
