Great fun gadget ... though both my own purchases failed within weeks
The first time I bought this product, it broke after a couple of weeks when the 'power / record' micro-switch component detached from the motherboard. The component was only held in place with a couple of dabs of solder. Turns out, it is, (or was), quite a delicate switch mechanism.Recently, I ordered a second product although it lasted only about 10 days before failing also. The camera appears to be bricked and is no longer recognized as a device. Has the battery failed? Have the electronics packed up? I don't know but I won't be experimenting with a third purchase. For the record, when I carried out a post-mortem on the second purchased device, I discovered that the fault regarding the micro-switch detachment had been partially addressed by the manufacturers because said micro-switch anchoring point now benefits from a blob of hot glue to provide additional strength for the micro-switch on the motherboard.Cheap? Sure. Fun? Yes ... and I was happy with the video / sound quality bearing in mind just how inexpensive the gadget was. However, the breakdown of the first gadget and the disappointment of the second device just dying without warning means I've personally lost confidence in this product ... although maybe I was just very unlucky with my own purchases.BTW. If you have recorded a movie but can't see the file OR if the file throws up a data error when you attempt to play it, download and use 'Classic Media Player' because, while the stock Windows media player on Vista or W7 might cause problems, the 'Classic' media player, (ie Media Player Classic Home Cinema from Download.com), will be more stable, robust and happier to play the recorded files.

mini spy digi camera disguised as a lighter
rubbish, very cheap, doesn't really work, poor quality. Doesn't seem as though it is anything initially and you think you have bought a plastic copy toy lighter and nothing more.

Does not match description,
This camera does not record in anything close to HD standard. However the image quality is passable for such a cheap item. The instructions are difficult to follow and it requires plenty of trial and error to get it working. After a short time the item became unusable, as the poor build quality leaves it prone to faults, such being unable to be detected by a computer when plugged into the USB port. You get what you pay for, if it works, and it lasts, then you're lucky. If not, at least it is only a tenner.
