Great versatile guitar
It's a wonderful guitar that offers great value, and unless you have the insane money for a handmade replica or one of the limited editions it's as close as you're going to get to the real thing. If your goal is to recreate that Brian May tone this guitar will get you three quarters of the way there. For the rest you need a treble booster and a Vox AC30 played in the clean channel fully cranked, a chorus pedal to double track also wouldn't go amiss. Using a multi FX unit with amp modelling will help you get a fair imitation for the rhythm parts though.Assuming that you're not planning on forming a tribute band, this guitar is still a viable option. The pickup switching options will get humbucker or strat like tones, and with a little experimentation you will find this to be a very versatile addition. The scale length of the guitar is shorter than a Les Paul, which makes bending notes and wide vibrato a lot easier, and the wide neck helps with this as well. You've also got easy access to the high frets. Only drawback I've found is that it's not very stable for alternative tunings because of the floating bridge, if you plan on even dropping a D during a gig expect a full retune. In standard the trem works very well, responsive and maintaining reasonable pitch.

Great guitar, many sound possibilities, beautiful look
I have nothing much to add, simply that I got my BM guitar yesterday and that it looks and feels even better than I expected. It is amazing the number of sonic possibilities you have with this beauty. To be quite frank, I think it is a much better deal than, for example, buying a Stratocaster. This guitar looks nothing like an ordinary axe and has all advantages of a top quality instrument. And - last but not least - you can always tell the legendary story of Brian May's red special.I also own a Washburn Dime with EMGs 81TW and 89 (both w/ dual - single coil/humbucker - operation), so I'm really all in for sound flexibility and not very ordinary looks. The red special complements it perfectly for cleaner and brighter tones, plus for playing w/ lighter strings.
