Sew link Needle Plate for Brother Serger Overlock Sewing Machine 929D 1034D

When I first tried to install this part, I could not get it to sit flat. after a few frustrating minutes, i decided to examine this part and the original part side by side. I noticed that this part is thicker in some places. I decided to remove the stitch finger and try to screw it down. Finally it fits! After putting back in the stitch finger and threading my Brother 1034D, It sews perfectly.

Very durable plate.It doesn’t fit my Brother “Strong and Tough” serger but quality is impressive.Since those two needle-like prawns attached to the plate are what I need, I’m going to just remove those from this piece and attach them to my old plate since my “strong and tough” failed miserably at living up to its name because those little prawns broke about 15 stitches after opening the box.

This piece fit exact, and my machine sewed perfectly. Save me spending money on a repair person or new machine. Thank u

Good item. But the Surface is not completely smooth, avoiding fabrics slide better.

This is NOT even close to being a replacement match for a brother 1034D serger. It doesn’t come with the needle guard bar. That’s fine though, as long as your previous one isn’t damaged you can screw it back on this one. What ISNT Ok is the placement for it, it’s a good 2-3 cm off from the original also this has an extremely narrow track to hold it in place...it’s so tight that it takes a pair of pliers to push it in place.Overall the entire thing doesn’t work for what it’s sold as!

Was told by my sewing machine repair guy that a new needle plate would cost me $45.00. Put that on top of his cleaning fee, I would be better off to buy a new machine. After looking briefly at prices for a new machine I happened to find this needle plate for $18.00!! Ordered it, put it on my machine, and have done a little sewing. I am quite happy with this. Will have to see how long I can go before breaking this one though.

This review is for any one who has a brother lock 1034XD this part will not fit your machine it's for the 1034 lock. Other then that I'm sure it would work well for the right machine.

Ne s’adapte pas… comme évoqué dans d autres commentaires cette plaque n’est pas compatible car trop épaisse. Je vais tenter de la retourner

Seems to depend on the exact manufacturing series of the 1034D serger. But this item does not fit into my machine. On a positive note: I received the package very fast.
