Neewer Multi-power Vertical Battery Grip Work with EN-EL14 Battery For Nikon D5100/D5200/D5300 SLR Camera

Iv read reviews that said this grip was really cheap feeling and didn't fit well, but honestly i didn't have that experience at all. After it arrived (on-time) i took it out of the box expecting something very flimsy. Well i was pleasantly surprised, this thing is not as cheap and flimsy as people have said. Sure it may not be as solid and heavy as the Nikon product but this grip is fine. It fit great on my Nikon d3300, the finish even matches the camera perfectly. This grip nots gonna break in your hand or even with a few accidental drops. Grip feels absolutely amazing on my camera, it really made sideways shots so much easier and better i love it. With this on the camera i always have a solid grip and feel on it. O and the batteries (both stock and aftermarket types) fit nice and snug into the battery chambers, they did a great job with that. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a grip. Its actually improved my photography

I have had this grip since October of 2014 and it still works. I broke my D5200 camera so I am now using the grip on the D5500. The fit is not perfect as it was my made for that body but it works. So even after breaking my D5200 body this Neewer battery grip remains useful.

The grip works perfectly with my Nikon D5200. The only downside if you can term it that is the vertical shutter release only works with the cable plugged in which leaves you with the options of either removing the rubber door or leaving it flapping in the breeze neither of which is acceptable to me so since the shutter release is in an awkward position anyway I won't be using it. Overall I am still quite pleased with the grip with its ease of installation and working perfectly out of the box so I would recommend this to any other D5200 as for the price it is good.

Sometimes my camera doesn't like it. It says the battery is not compatible. I just take out the battery and put it back. Works fine so far.

Well, there are so many grips on the market with different prices, this one is one of the most affordable, and useful. The grip also has a shutter button on the bottom for vertical pictures. Nice product

Works well ,like part of the camera should work not like a second rate add on ,ilike the rubber grip feels good holding the camera

This grip works great on a D5200. Used it when shooting a prom. Lasted all night.

I originally purchased a Neweer grip which was supposed to fit D5100, D5200 & D5300. The fit was very poor. The left hand bottom of the camera as looked at from the back just did not fit into the grip causing a gap between the grip and thecamera. I immediately returned it as it didn't look a part of the camera and seemed to be taking some strain.(It did work though)I decided to purchase a grip which specified a fit to the D5200 only. This unit only cost £1.53 more than the multifit one I originally purchased.The fit is really good and the finish is a very good match to the camera. It seems to be smaller than the other unit and also seems to be a better design.I used a chipped battery with an unchipped battery as others have mentioned.It makes the camera larger which is good for my hands and seems to give the camera more handheld stability. I will have to get used to using the new button for vertical shots after 42 years of doing without.The cable between the camera and grip does not get in the way when handling the camera either for horizontal or vertical shots.In conclusion I can confidently recommend this grip for D5200 owners.I have just received and fitted this unit so these are my first impressions. If my opinion changes over time I will modify this review.

Battery grip is brilliant. Great fit onto my Nikon D5200, I use two original Nikon brand batteries, and it works perfectly, no problems, so just make sure you use originals. The fit is perfect, and secure, I have large hands and it definitely makes operating and gripping the camera a lot easier, nice little rubber part at the front aids grip too. It comes complete with instructions, and the external small connecting wire to enable the use of the extra shutter button when used in portrait mode. If your in doubt, don't be, worth the money especially at this bargain price. Wish I had have got it sooner..

I never use the shutter cable because it juts out too much. One of the battery compartments always lets go of the battery you stick in it too. But the fact that it gives my pinky finger something to cling onto on the anemic grip of the D5200 makes my Sigma 150-600mm less of a pain to hold. It doesn't make things as comfy as a D2Hs grip but it gets enough of the way there to be worth the money.

This is a.great add on. Fits well into my (largish) hand and balances my long lenses. Great to have two batteries on board which make life much easier. Very pleased.
