Can't Stop The Rock [German Import]

This "best of" from Stryper is the final gasp from one of the best hair metal bands of the 80's. For a few years they were near the top of the genre, standing out thanks to their unique vocals, HEAVY guitars, and positive approach to songs (ie major chords!). Flaunting their faith, they still penned some excellent rock tunes.This release includes 4 "new" tunes, as well as their biggest hit Honestly, Soldiers Under Command (best track from album of same name), Lady (best ballad since Honestly), To Hell With The Devil (also best track off album of same name), and In God We Trust (ditto).Unfortunately other stand out tunes from the back catalogue are absent, especially from "Against The Law", which admittedly sold disappointingly, but contains some of their best music. And other MTV stalwarts like Calling On You are also missing.If you don't know the band at all, it might be an OK buy, but I'd recommend getting To Hell With The Devil and Against The Law initially, and if you catch the vibe, moving on from there - maybe leaving The Yellow & Black Attack 'till the end (see my review there).
