Great for an nurse working in the peds ER. Very thorough and comprehensive, covers everything you need to know. Lots of bullet points that highlight key things you need to know. Great to use for CPEN exam studying, dare I say even better than the ENA core curriculum text.

Some things are missing. I got this book from friend of mine. I wanted to see if I should buy it.

Disappointing
Ultimately, not a bad book overall. However, I'm greatly disappointed in that the title indicates a "Comprehensive" text on Peds ER care. At best, this is an introductory text on Peds ER care. Although well written and illustrated, nearly all topics are under developed for the needs of the experienced Peds ER RN. I have found this book useful in orienting new staff, but it was not the reference text I was hoping for or expecting when purchased. Buyer beware.
