Escuela de Espanto #1: ¡La escuela está viva! (The School Is Alive) (1) (Spanish Edition)

What a great book! It’s a great story. The kids loved it. I ordered the English version of this book for my students (a fifth grade remediation group). One student speaks Spanish and English and had expressed an interest in learning to read Spanish. His mother only speaks Spanish so she was excited to be able to finally do school work with him at home. My group is currently reading the second book in the series “The Locker Ate Lucy”. I have yet to find the Spanish version. I’m still in the hunt.

My third-grade son in a Spanish dual-immersion program needed some additional Spanish reading. He liked the main character's courage, wit and resourcefulness, and the story's redeeming end. He's asking me for the next book in the series, so that's pretty much five stars from me.

My 7.5 yr old is in bilingual 2nd grade class and loves this book, but says it's too scary sometimes. Personally, I know my kid and he's more sensitive than others his age, so I'm thinking 7/8 is probably fine. The words aren't so big he can't read them, so the reading level seems good.

Great book! I hope they will translate the other books in the series. Muy buen libro para niños y niñas que les guste historias de espanto.
