Klein is the goat and this tool is another example why.
Hands down the best quick stripper made. An essential tool for when you’re doing a lot of wiring and the design is nice if you need to splice the middle of wire you can without having to worry about damaging the conductors.

Great tool!
I'm going to school to become an airplane mechanic and part of my training has been wiring up various electrical devices. Part of what involves is cutting and stripping wires. The Klein wire strippers are the best I've used. I've mostly used pliers style strippers in the past and always had trouble getting the insulation off, especially with stranded wire. The insulation either wouldn't cut all the way through or some of the strands would break off or get nicked. These make stripping the wire fast and easy. You line the wire up with the right gauge and squeeze. No stands broken or stripped and the insulation comes off cleanly every time. I've had more experience cutting wire. I've used some really good pliers style wire cutters and some really awful ones. Again, these are some of the best I've used. The issue I've had with other cutters is that the end of the wire gets points because most cutters have a V shaped blade. The insulation stretches around the end and it can make stripping it off more difficult. It also just doesn't look as nice as when it's flush. These cutters have a hole you put the wire into up to 10 gauge, squeeze and you get a nice clean cut, no stretched insulation, no varying length of strands, just a flush cut that makes life so much easier. For $30 this is a must have if you do any regular work with copper wire. The only thing I wish this had was replaceable dies for the strippers like some more expensive strippers in this style do. The smallest wire you can strip with theses is 20 gauge, which generally is fine with the work I'll be doing with them. However, many electronics use 22 or 24 gauge wires, so it's a bit disappointing these won't work for those sizes. Other than that I really can't think of anything that I find lacking with these. They're simple, practical, easy to use, and they just work. I'll update my review if anything comes up as I use them, but as of my writing this, they're amazing.

The best wire strippers in my tool box
I do a lot of work with insulated wire of all sizes. These are my favorite strippers of all time. Very heavy duty. Learned of them on a Youtube channel, ordered a pair, and wow, they are fantastic.

Precision and accuracy, stripping 18 gauge wire, no damage
This wire stripper is insanely good. I was using it to strip 18 gauge wire that I was using to wire a LED shower niche because the original cable that came with it was too short and I needed to extend it. I had no room for failure, and I needed a good cut strip and crimp to heat shrink crimp which I bought from a local freight at the harbor Supplier. This tool strip the 18 gauge wire without damaging the central wire at all it was very impressive. And with a gentle push a pull the jacket I don’t recommend going at rocket speeds for this type of process, especially for the small wire. I haven’t tried to un larger wire yet but it served the job so well and it was worth every penny can you imagine trying to fix 18 gauge wire if it was cut too short, then I’d have to pull 16 feet the whole wire out of the wall and start over. The only reason I gave it a single star off was because of the factory when they assembled it, the spring used to keep the tool open scratched the tool when they were assembling it. Also, I have big hands. I am a surgeon and wear size 8 gloves which are very large however even that these strippers are pretty big and difficult to manage if you have smaller hands. The tool is meant for precision and accuracy.

Excellent wire stripper.
Used these for stripping 10-18 gauge wire for my solar install. One of my favorite tools. I don't really use the wire cutter as it is a little more difficult to use than a good pair of side cutters.

Excellent Wire Stripper
I was having a tough time stripping PTFE coated wires. We tested this superbly crafted product on PTFE wire - and it worked like beauty. From 20 gauge to 10 gauge - super smooth. Remember to order extra knives with it.

A must addition to your hand tool collection.
Absolutely Brilliant! Top quality & built to last! Don't waste your time looking for other inferior made wire strippers. These you will not regret buying and they are great to use. I've used several types of hand held wire strippers over many years and most either wear out or break. Initially I twitched at the price, but then remembered the old saying, "You get what you pay for, buy quality and don't buy twice" These Klein strippers are really well made and strong. The cutter blades can be replaced, it does exactly what it has been made for doing. Thought it a little expensive at first, but on receiving them, I soon decided them to be excellent value for money. Superb addition to tool box, these will not be loaned out to anyone. Buy your own you won't be disappointed!
