Barga, Tuscany Third Edition: A walking tour of the historic center of the beautiful medieval hill town of Barga, (Lucca) Tuscany, Italy Paperback – July 19, 2014

With my having a stay in progress at the marvelous Renaissance Tuscany Il Ciocco Resort & Spa at this very moment I'm writing, you absolutely will not find any resource better than this for Barga. And, talk about being hot off the press, it was published in July, and I arrived on October 30, so it's truly very recent. One of the staff members at Il Ciocco was quite impressed that it even included a restaurant that had opened in Barga in July of 2014. My only disappointment was not to find the Renaissance Il Ciocco in the list of hotels as it most definitely should be as it is a lovely 5 star property. This is simply a fantastic Tuscan area in which to take some time to rest and relax, and with a great book like this, it's all the better. I'll be here for 14 days and this little book by Kerry Bell is already proving its weight in gold.
