Alidad: The Timeless Home

I’ve worked for Alidad in the past and was accutely aware of his attention to detail. This book demonstrates the opulence of his style with perfect placement of colours and textures. A Master class in interior design by which all others should be measured.

Although I am British I lived in Iran as a child and as I turned each page of this book I felt myself transported back to that beautiful land. This is a stylish and opulent read, I think I may have to buy another, when my mother sees this it may be the last I see of it, as I think she may agree.

This is the interior decorating book I've been waiting for. It is sumptuous,decadent, gorgeous. Each room is full of colour,texture and life. These are all rooms Alidad has created for clients or for himself. His bespoke creations show how layers of colour and furnishings and accoutrements from all genres and of great value or no value can be put together to create wonderful,livable rooms that are exciting and welcoming. The text is very readable and interesting and his comments echo my own ideas and ideals for creating and decorating a home as opposed to a house.

Alidad has a totally unique style. The interior projects featured are totally wow. However, they are not reproduceable in the average English home! A fascinating read nonetheless and certainly makes Alidad seem one of the best interior designers we have seen.
