Mondazie 17 Inch Outdoor Fire Pit
This fire pit is pretty good to have around. I donât do much camping, but I wanted it to use in my yard on occasion, then stow it away where it wonât take up much space. To do this, the unit will require assembly every time, and Iâm torn about this. On one hand, this could dissuade me from using it as often as I wanted. On the other hand, assembly is very simple and will only take 10 minutes or less. Time will tell if that is enough to be a deterrent, but it really is a nice fire pit. The steel is quality â strong and sturdy. As mentioned, assembly is simple and requires 8 bolts to be screwed in. The other pieces slot into each other, and itâs not too difficult to do or undo. It has some weight to it, so it wonât move around once assembled, but itâs still light enough to carry around when itâs in its handy carrying case, which is also a plus. Overall, I really like this fire pit, and I will certainly use it. How often remains to be seen.

Not a bad buy for the price.
Had to line it with tin foil when we used it on the driveway, however.

You'll need an ash pan!
Any opportunity to start a fire is good for me! This heavy metal fire pit is a unique way to enjoy some burning embers. With its wide gaps you can easily see the burning fire and feel the heat from it too. It's easily assembled and disassembled and comes with a bag to store it in. 2 things to mention: you'll need plenty of small pieces of dry wood to get your fire going and you'll need to find something to catch the ashes while the fire is burning. This fire pit seems well made and durable. With proper cleaning and storage it should be around for quite some time.

Very sturdy
This outdoor firepit is very sturdy. It was somewhat simple to put together. The pieces required a bit of finagling to get them to all fit together properly, but once they did it was easy enough to put the cotter pins in and secure them. The included bag is for storing it taken apart. This would be nicer if that didn't mean unbending and re-bending cotter pins every time you want to take it apart and put it back together. I would like this more if this was done with something easier to remove that wouldn't need replacing after a few uses. It did come with 8 extra cotter pins, but I only plan on having this out when I want to use it and then put it away afterwards. Other than this inconvenience, which I might be able to fix with some sort of easily removable clip, it is a very nice somewhat portable firepit.

Bottom is hollow slated also
Reviewing Mondazie 17 Inch Outdoor Fire Pit for Camping, This is a little esmaller than expected but not extreme. The measurements are included in the listing, I just didnât pay close enough attention. The size still works well, but it is not a solid bottom, which means it has limited usefulness outside of a ground fire pit. Iâll explain more below. It is solid steel so is durable and sturdy construction. It needs assembled, but it only took 15 to 20 minutes to assemble and that includes a few interruptions. It comes with a bag, but Iâm not sure why because once itâs put together, it doesnât collapse. You would need to totally take it apart for transport, which doesnât make sense. Itâs only about 15 lbs, so you can pick it up and transport it in an assembled state, but if youâve been using it, it would be ashy and dirty and doesnât fit in the bag when itâs put together, so that doesnât make much sense. The bottom has slates, just like sides, which means itâs open to the ground below, just like the sides. I canât put this on the patio and have a fire without ash and embers falling out onto the patio. The same for putting it out in the yard, or at a campsite on the grass or brush. It needs to be set on/in a ground firepit so that any embers or ash that falls out is contained in the firepit. That seems very silly to me to have a firepit that needs to put in a firepit for safety reasons. It would be much more useful if it was a solid bottom and at least a solid insert to go around the sides. Rating 4 stars because the listing is mentions the sides are âhollowâ but not the bottom. If I could rate 3.5 stars, I would.
