Fringe: Season 3

WOW what can I say, all the reviews here all say what I wanted to say,that this is the best show ever, better then The X Files,better then Lost,and better then every show on TV right now, first you have great writing, every show is a fantastic, GREAT actors, Anna Torv is well amazing, in this season alone she has played s different characters perfectly, one the original Olivia Dunham, then Alt-Olivia Dunham from the other side, and now she is play William Bell, who was played by Leonard Nimoy, but the character died and is now in Olivia's brain,and so Anna Torv is now sounding and acting like Leonard Nimoy and doing a great job, after already play a completely different version of Olivia Dunham, the Alt one, I mean she does it so well you can tell the difference by the way she looks out of her eyes, with out her opening her mouth, or really even doing much,she's just the best actress around today no doubt,and she is Australian too, which means she has to fake a American accent for her two Olivia's and now William Bell too, and she does it so well is almost scary how good she is,and plus she is gorgeous and sexy to boot.Then there's John Noble who plays Dr Walter Bishop, again amazing, he to plays two different versions of the same character, and again very well, there is a huge difference in our Walter and Walternate as we Fringies call him, our Walter is sweet, and kind, even if he is bit odd at times,talking about strange things all the time, he is a bit nutty, but lovable, Walternate has a coldness in his eyes, and is not at all lovable,and you can again tell who is who by there eyes,its wonderful to watch. Then there is Joshua Jackson, who again very good actor, never watched Dawson's Creak, maybe seen a few episodes but never cared for that type of show, so if you didn't care for it ether and decided not to like him because he was in it, that would be not only unfair but stupid too, because he is a very good actor, though he may not be my favorite on the show,I would still miss him if he wasn't in it,the fact is every character and actor on this show is great, even the bad guys are cool in this show, I love the character of Nina Sharp who runs Massive Dynamics, and is plays by Blair Brown also a great actress,she is a very cool character, even has a robotic right arm that looks like a real one,then there's Phillip Broyles, Played by Lance Reddick, another great actor,his character is always cool,and always there for his agents not like Skinner on The X Files,Skinner was wimp, Broyles will stick neck out for his people even giving his life to save another,then there's Astrid Farsworth a young FBI agent who works with and sometimes takes care of Walter, who is played by Jasika Nicole, she too plays tow versions of her character very well, some people put this show down saying it should focus more on just having the character investigate different cases each week, instead of having a on going story line,with romance,and comedy,and twists and turns that make you have to really pay good attention to the show, and stories that is about real stuff not just the weird stuff, but that is why this show is so great is it is not your run of the meal science fiction show,these people are more like real people, not cartoons like in allot science fictions shows, the X Files was like that, every episode was different,it never went with the myth of the show,that show ended after 9 years and never did explain what was really going on, even Gillian Anderson who played Scully admitted later she didn't really understand what had happened, or what it was about,to me it was almost as bad as Lost was, Fringe though is not like that, each episode even the so called stand alone's tie in to the myth of the show, almost all the weird science being used by bad people is something Walter had made and someone stole form him while he was in a mental hospital, so you can't get lost,it really like watching a movie that has 40 some hours long, but instead its a series of one hour shows that just happen to be the best hour on TV, Its right now on FOX at 9pm on Fridays, check it out, if you want to watch older episodes there plenty of sites where you can catch up on it that are free,or just buy seasons one and two here, because I swear on my own life you want be sorry, you will love every episode, and every character and actor on this show, it is addictive its so good! 5 stars for all seasons!!!

The cast grows every week, with one or the other taking the lead, and our alternate beings from the other side, are like us but not quite, there is that slight difference, that's the beauty of it - tense and downright chilling at times.Our lead characters handle their alternates in a meticulous way with strong acting in every step of the way. Die Serie ist Kult! 5 Sterne!Medimops 1 Stern, da (wieder) die letzte Disc fehlt!Sehr ärgerlich, da Medimops sonst zuverlässig war.

Non c'è molto da dire. Ho iniziato la collezione dei cofanetti di questa fantastica serie TV e con questo sono arrivata alla terza stagione. Il prodotto è arrivato integro e mi è stato consegnato in 24h.

Die dritte Staffel der Erfolgsserie FRINGE vermag durchaus zu überzeugen und wird vielfach als die bisher beste Staffel gefeiert (folgende Ausführungen enthalten SPOILER!):Das Team kehrt aus der alternativen Realität zurück, wie schon am Ende von Staffel 2 zu sehen war. Olivia wurde heimlich durch ihr anderes Ich ersetzt, die falsche Olivia infiltriert das FBI und arbeitet insgeheim gegen das Team. Bald kommen sie und Peter sich näher, der Schwindel fliegt letztlich aber auf, da die echte Olivia aus dem Paralleluniversum einen Hilferuf an Peter schicken kann. Mit knapper Not gelingt ihr die Rückkehr auf unsere" Seite, doch hier hat sich durch die falsche Olivia einiges geändert...Wie üblich beginnt auch diese Staffel sehr rasant. Der Langeweile wird keine Chance gegeben. Besonders gefallen hat mir, dass die einzelnen Fälle großteils immer noch originell sind und überzeugen können. Man hat nicht den Eindruck, dass den MacherInnen der Serie die Ideen ausgehen oder lediglich alte Stoffe in neuer Verpackung präsentiert werden.Ein Neueinstieg in die Serie ist hier absolut nicht mehr zu empfehlen. Wer die ersten beiden Staffeln nicht gesehen hat, der dürfte sich hier kaum noch auskennen. So ist FRINGE generell keine Serie, die man sich neben dem Bügeln ansehen kann, will man den Überblick behalten. Mehrere Episoden spielen zur Gänze in der alternativen Realität, oft wird handlungstechnisch auch sehr schnell zwischen den Realitäten hin- und hergesprungen. Der Spagat, zwischen den unterschiedlichen Handlungssträngen der verschiedenen Realitäten zu vermitteln, ist durchaus gelungen.Letztlich zielt der gesamte Handlungsablauf auf die Funktionsweise der ominösen Maschine ab, auf die jene Zeichnung verweist, die die "Ersten Menschen" vermeintlich angefertigt haben. Aus meiner Sicht fällt die Spannung ab der Rückkehr der echten Olivia aber allmählich ein wenig ab. Die Maschine wird nach und nach in den Mittelpunkt gerückt, um die ZuseherInnen auf das Staffelende vorzubereiten. Dies geschieht -aus meiner Sicht- auf Kosten der Beziehung zwischen Liv und Peter. Nachdem sie schließlich doch noch zueinander finden, wird dem Publikum immer weniger Tiefgang zwischen den beiden Protagonisten vermittelt.Seltsam empfand ich auch den plötzlichen Gesinnungswandel der alternativen Olivia. Nachdem sie langfristig mit Walternative an der Zerstörung "unserer" Realität gearbeitet hat, kommen ihr dann plötzlich derart große Bedenken, dass sie Verrat begeht? Dieser Handlungsstrang erscheint mir wenig nachvollziehbar.Das eigentliche Ende wirkt annehmbar, der Cliffhanger hat mich persönlich aber wesentlich weniger gepackt, als in den Vorgängerstaffeln. Es bleibt abzuwarten, wie die Wirrungen der alternativen Realitäten und unterschiedlichen Zeitlinien aufgelöst werden. Staffel 4 wird von mir bestimmt gekauft werden, so eilig wie nach den ersten beiden Fringe-Seasons habe ich es dieses Mal allerdings nicht. Dazu hat mich die Handlung in den letzten Episoden zu wenig mitgerissen.Die Charaktere offenbaren speziell in der ersten Hälfte dieser Staffel wieder mehr an Persönlichkeit. Gab sich Anna Torv innerhalb der ersten Staffel in ihrer Rolle noch unterkühlt und teilweise farblos, zeigt sie sich hier von vielen Seiten: panisch, ängstlich, frustriert, mutig, freudig, u.v.m.Peter Bishop bewegt sich gewohnt cool" durch die einzelnen Episoden, geht etappenweise aber auch seine eigenen Wege abseits des Fringe-Teams, was durchaus auf eine dunkle und verborgene Seite von ihm schließen lässt.Die DVD's befinden sich in einer Klapp-Hülle, umgeben von einem Pappschuber. Wie üblich gibt es als Zusatzmaterial verpatzte Szenen oder Audiokommentare. Ein bebildertes Booklet gibt kurze Informationen zu den einzelnen Episoden und weist auch darauf hin, in welcher Realität die einzelnen Folgen spielen.Fazit: FRINGE ist nach wie vor ein Serienerlebnis, ich habe mich auch in dieser Staffel gut unterhalten gefühlt. So kann ich bedenkenlos eine Kaufempfehlung abgeben, obgleich ich sagen muss, dass Staffel 3 aus meinem persönlichen Empfinden die Spannung nicht bis zum Schluss auf dem gewohnt hohen Niveau halten kann. 4 Sterne von mir!
