T&GCauldron Pepper Mill - Acrylic with Crank Handle Size 90mm

It is a good design with a wide bore giving a fair pepper capacity for its height. It is quite short though. It has a high pepper output but all crank handle mills do so not a virtue specific to this product. One star because of its poor quality construction and poor value for money. The mill mechanism is made of plastic rather than metal. The coarseness adjuster is a flimsy and rather fiddly plastic bar that you have to rotate on the bottom of the mill. The worst part of it is the crank handle which is made of plastic not metal and does not fit particularly well with about 15° of play. I'd expect to pay somewhere between 2 and 5 pounds for this, not 15.11 May 2018 update. It has failed. No surprise really. The bond between the outer ring of the grinding head and the perspex body has failed so that the whole grinder rotates in the perspex body rather than the inner part rotating in the outer. And of course having lasted all of 2 months it cannot be returned!.

Despite only being in my mid forties, I suffer from arthritis which affects, amongst other joints, my wrists. I used to have a tall cylindrical wooden Salt and pepper grinder set with the twist tops, I seldom if ever got enough pepper out before giving up and settling for what I had.This little gem is made of thick acrylic and feels quality. I love the crank handle, it makes crushing the peppercorns effortless. The "waistline" shape makes it very easy to hold tighly, two or three twists and I have all the pepper I desire (And I love pepper) It has a simple twist mechanism on the base which allows you to select how fine or course you want it to dispense.I can highly recommend this item, I would NOT buy the salt partner to this however, as someone mentioned in another review the spindle is metal and would, I imagine corrode in the humid atmosphere of my kitchen given the addition of salt.(if someone knows better please let me know, because were it not for the corrosion aspect, I would buy a salt one)P.SAfter several months of use I can confirm that this item is still functioning perfectly and yes, I would still highly recommend it, only one observation, I wish the capacity were greater so I didn't have to re-fill so often.

I have had all sorts of pepper mills over the years and this is by far the best. The crank handle makes it easy to grind a good amount of pepper. I've had squeeze operated mills and twist-top mills but neither produce the amount of pepper that this mill does and as quickly as it does.As my grip strength gets weaker I have been looking for a mill which I can operate easily and this is the one!This is perfect for the table as it's good looking enough to be seen and it's brilliant for cooking as the steam from pans doesn't appear to compromise it's ability to produce lots of ground pepper for soups etc.

The grinder works great. Best grinder I've used.Disappointed with the build quality due to reading other peoples reviews. I thought I might have received a fake, so I contacted TC. They said they had used a plastic handle to keep costs down.

Our old grinder pepper mill is coming to the end of its life! After a long search this item turns out to be a decent replacement.

This goes perfectly well with the salt mill in the same style. It gives measured doses of pepper each time. You can also adjust the degree of pepper mill from coarse to fine which I haven't found with any other pepper mill.
