I was skeptical that a pre-mix was going to make a satisfactory OF, but I thought I'd try it. I did a taste test with a more traditional recipe. It takes a fair amount of stirring to get the booze and mix to combine properly (maybe a gentle shake would be better?), but hands down the best was Bartender's Secret. All the flavors are there and it's dead easy. Much more complex and flavorful than a simple syrup and bitters mix. Try it for yourself. It will surprise you, I think.

Bought a as gift but the bottle came with something spilled on the outside label and on the bottom. Perhaps another bottle next to it broke, but didn’t look nice to give as a gift. Ended up giving it to my son to try out. He will try with friends and will update the review when feedback is received from them.UPDATED Final review : excellent taste! Great Old Fashioned mixer that can be adjusted to individual tastes. Easy to use and makes hosting much easier. One bottle made enough to serve a group of10 guests thru the night. Will buy again and see if other mixtures are available for purchase as well.IMPORTANT Side note: the Customer Service from this small business contacted me about the my review re the dirty label -like dried syrup on it. Right up front they just offered a full refund or replacement - my pick - and explained they’re working on packaging thru Amazon. They also threw in a $5 “inconvenience fee”. Plus I already received a 20% discount from my initial purchase. No questions asked. Just real honest and genuine customer care and customer service, both are excellent!! A very rare occurrence for customers nowadays where it’s always a return item in original packaging or item does not qualify for $$ refund only gift card.Such a pleasant surprise. Very impressed with this one, personally I do get a lot of fig initially and I like that a lot, well worth the try if you're interested and I really appreciate the ice molds they provide as well!

So 20$ is a steep price for what is in most instances sugar and water mixed, but this is pretty spot on if you want some consistency. I would match the 1/4 oz with 1/4 water and 2 splashes of orange bitters and you’re gonna impress 9/10 people who try it. So overall, pricey but easy and has a great flavor.

This sauce is too thick and too sweet for me.

My first review of any product.The bottle cap had leaked before delivery. Bottle cap was "welded" shut; needing pliers to open. Syrup is VERY thick, like Lisa Douglas's coffee on Green Acres (Yes, I am that OLD!) Maybe air infiltrated the bottle thickening the syrup? Doesn't seem to mix well into drink, leaving cocktail a lot darker than should be. Flavor is OK, but a little sweeter than expected. Not a deal breaker, but not as smooth as Amazon's Lava OF syrup. Just trying different brands, as I have recently developed an OF addiction. Will definitely try other brands as i search for my ideal Old Fashioned elixir.
