This review is for the non-backlit keyboard (oops - got excited and bought the non-backlit instead of the backlit one I wanted - oh well, works fine). Keyboard arrived quickly and took about 20 minutes to find the correct instructions, and about 5 minutes to remove the keyboard bezel, the 3 retaining screws on the rear of my E6530, the 3 keyboard retaining screws. Gently remove the static tape from old keyboard (keep), flip up your flat black lever on the original keyboard, which releases the flat ribbon cable, and gently loosen the sticky adhesive under that cable and pull loose (MAKE SURE THE LEVER IS IN THE UP / RELEASED POSITION). Now, switch out keyboard, flip up lever on new keyboard, gently put in the flat ribbon cable and push in till it seats correctly, then close the lever, and re-apply the static tape. Flip keyboard over and secure the 3 retaining screws, then re-attach the keyboard bezel. Flip laptop over and add in the 3 screws on the rear of laptop. Enjoy new keyboard! Review: Check yours first. - This did not fit my E6520. Check your keyboard first. My (original) keyboard has three ribbon cables coming off the circuit board and going into the keyboard. This keyboard only has two ribbons. when inserted into my computer, the keyboard did not work at all. I would assume because it's missing the third ribbon cable.
