QGE Portable Monitor
I needed an external monitor for my portable mini PC while traveling, but wanted something clean-looking with no logos on the bezel. I came across this one and decided to give it a try. When it arrived, I was pleased with how lightweight it was and its solid build quality. The package included two cables: a Type-C to Type-C and an HDMI to Mini-HDMI. I used the Type-C cable to connect directly to my mini PC, keeping the setup clean and clutter-free. I also appreciated that it came with a Quick Start Guide, a detailed User Manual, and a card showing available upgrade accessories. According to the User Manual, registering the product provides a two-year warranty for free. The display is clear with no noticeable latency at 1080p, and I didn't encounter any dead pixels. The only minor issue is that the default color settings are slightly off, but the OSD menu is easy to navigate, offering a few preset color temperature profiles, along with a custom option for adjustments to suit your needs. The built-in speaker is a nice feature, and while the sound quality is just okay, it's decent considering the slim design. One thing to note is that, unlike other portable monitors with a ‘smart cover’ that doubles as a stand, this one has a built-in stand that works in both horizontal and vertical orientations. This might be a drawback for those planning to carry it around, as there’s no protective cover included. I used a tablet stand to eye level for better posture.Overall, I’m satisfied with the monitor and would recommend it to anyone looking for an external monitor for home or office use.

Excellent portable monitor and well worth the price.
Great portable and super handy monitor, I travel a lot for work and when working on a laptop in a hotel room, it is so much less productive than when I dock at the office into a system with 2 big screens screen and the one in my home office / work office is not very portable so I decided to buy this. What a big difference! I can connect my work laptop to the monitor using a C to C cable, and it's just like having an extra screen. The monitor is flat but comes with a folding stand gizmo that lets me set it up with varying degrees of tilt. Simple to set up and get connected, great graphics, no performance issues yet. The monitor also comes with HDMI to mini HDMI so even if you don't have USB-C on your laptop it will work out of the box. Overall, I'm very happy with it - so far it seems like great value for money.

Excellent screen with timeless aesthetics.
I personally own 2 portable monitors and I have procured a few for my job to set up portable work stations. I use them for work, play and watching videos. This unit is by far the best of the bunch in the price range. I have sectioned my review out below for easy reference, so what are we waiting for lets get to it!* Special note, throughout this review you will see me using LCD vs IPS. Technically IPS is an LCD, but I am referring to the technology used to switch the pixels and there by create an image. I am doing it in this manner because most manufacturer’s will list IPS or LCD and not IPS/VA/TN or even AFFS technologies. If you wish to learn more about the various techs there is a large amount of data available on the internet. This review is written in more for the general public, and generalizations have been made in to keep it as such.Who is this product for: This product is for people who have portable small screen devices, or laptops which you would like a second screen for. As I type this now this device is plugged into my Surface pro7 running solely off the internal battery no external power through the USB-C wire. I am using it so I can have multiple windows open for files. I have also used this as a larger screen for my Steam Deck for gaming. I think this device is good for those who travel and need a screen to set up to view content or extend their work space, while it maybe good for editing I have a feeling this is not the target market. I suspect the color gambit and contrast is not ideal for that. As well pro-gamers will not be after this as well as it’s limited to 60FPS (60Hz), although it does support free sync.Value: Thin, Light, clear, easy on the eyes wonderful contrast with an HDR 2048 mode, and some built in temperature configurations. I have not seen any noticeable light bleed, although this is an IPS screen and not a OLED, so light bleed is there but minimized. If personally find IPS panels very comfortable to work on long term. This device is firmly planted in the lower end cost range but it offers a very nice display that works exceptionally well in day to day tasks. For this using it on a steam deck or AMD device you will be happy to find this unit is free sync compatible.Features: With extremely low power consumption (6 watts) this device runs nicely powered by the battery on my Surface. I have been running both my surface screen and this screen for the last 3 hours with no power limits on and the device has only dropped to 70% from fully charged. On my Steam deck this is a little less ideal as the whole system is on a power budget of about 15-20 watts. For reference the internal screen consumes about 1.5-2 watts of power. So at 6 watts this 15.6 inch screen is pretty power friendly. There are 4 buttons on the side power, vol up/down (doubles as adjustments for the menu) and a menu button allowing you to access the menu. This device has 2 USB C inputs and a mini HDMI. Sound is handled through a 1 w speaker which, makes sound. Far from concert quality but I wasn’t expecting this device to have audio so nice surprise. There is a headphone jack and I expect I will be using my connected devices vibration makers far more than this screens. Another nice thing most don’t think about is a kick stand. This device has a nice built in kick stand.Comfort: I have been typing and using this screen for 3+ hours now and I do not feel any eye strain, the text is crisp, the blacks are dark and clean and I am over all very happy with the standard settings. I can say the screen is noticeably softer than the screen on my surface but I think this is more of the difference between a 2736x1824 and a 1920x1080 screen. But overall it is very comfortable for me use and I could see myself watching movies, gaming and doing general work on this screen. The screen has a matt finish which does well to prevent glare. Over allBuild Quality: the frame is plastic and pretty flexible and the screen shows signed when the casing is under strain, however it does seem to bounce back well and show no signed being flexed. I will say with as with all monitors I have tested in this range care must be taken to ensure a long and trouble free existence. To me it seems most of the price tag was put into the screen quality and not the casing. Although one of my other LCD portable monitors has an industrial like metal casing around it. It’s sturdy but overall bulky. I prefer the approach this product has taken.Performance: The screen performed very well, I am happy with the refresh rate, I like the clarity and the blacks an IPS panel offers and I rarely notice the “drawbacks” of IPS, such as slow refresh.Aesthetics: I think this screen is very pleasant to look at. The overall design is simple, the use of non-shiny in favor of more matt finish is very nice and a preference of mine. The frame is thin and but noticeable and the buttons are simple to locate and offer a affirming click when pressed. I like this monitor. I have 2 units which have shiny plastic and more “sophisticated” design. What I have found with these is the shiny plastic collects finger prints and the artistic curvy design while looks attractive when new has aged poorly, collecting dirt and scratches. Overall I like the simpler cleaner direct approach this screen manufacturer has taken.Overall: If the goal is to acquire a excellent portable monitor that performs well, is easy on the pocket as well as the bank account then this is your monitor. It’s clear the money for the device is spent making a solid performing screen which is very usable and pleasant, and foregoing all the trendy design cues that are only in style and not functional.
