Well made hatchet
This is a well made stout hatchet. I just finished two weeks of limbing probably twenty trees and falling about six trees and this thing got used a ton. I had to use falling wedges on three trees and this was used to set my wedges in the back cut. Great striking surface. It's flat and strikes solidly, no slipping. The ax portion works great as well. The blade is set at an angle that allows you to strike and remove limbs and other things fairly easily without sinking too deep, which is what I prefer. A sharper angle would make the ax sink deeper, which would be problematic if it didn't cut the limb off on the first strike. With this short of a handle it would be difficult to remove from the cut. I expect this tool to be useful for decades. No issues recommending.

Awesome
Absolutely awesome hatchet at this price. You won't find a better deal. Quality made hatchet splits wood just fine. Comfortable in the hand. Blade holds up well and is easy to sharpen. Overall the best value you will find for a quality hatchet.

A Good All-Around Hatchet, Using it as Beater Tool
I've been using this here and there as a beater hatchet. Yes, there are cheaper hatchets to beat on and abuse, but this one lives up to it's slightly more moderate price. It does look and feel well made, and thus far, it's held up to my rather ignorant usage (I am still very, very conscientious about safety). I am treating this like a tool, not an heirloom, and it's done well. I cuts/hacks nicely, and it beats on things well, although I do wish the staking face of the hammer was bit larger. I did already put a little ding in the blade, but that's my fault, and I was able to basically clean it up with a file and stone. Still functions like a champ.Overall worth it. I think this would be completely fine as an all-arounder hatchet, or as working tool in the way I've been using (and abusing) it.

Favorite hammer
This is my go to tool now. It's get three tools built into it, hatchet, hammer, nail puller. It looks great and it seems to be pretty good quality so far.It comes sharp enough, but I did spend some time sharpening it right away. The grip is lacking. It's got a laser engraved pattern, that just didn't go deep enough. It feels really quality. I left it outside for a couple of days, and it didn't look like it at all. Handle and head were fine, mo rust or fading. It really feels like it will last a long time.My only real complaint is I wish it was a little grippier.
