Samotech UK WIFI Smart DIMMER No Neutral compatible with Alexa, Google, Tuya, Smart Life - Grey/Black 1-Gang

The media could not be loaded. I was very excited when I saw this product because I didn’t know such a thing existed. My partner likes to be able to manually control the lights but I like to use Alexa or the Google Home app. This product solved our problems.At first I was disappointed, because when we turned off the light completely, the bulb would remain dimly on. We couldn’t figure out why this was happening but then we discovered what an LED Bypass was. We bought one and the dimmer switch then worked perfectly, switching completely off with no glowing when we turned it off.The dimmer switch dims smoothly, there isn’t any flashing. Alexa voice control works well, and the product is compatible with Google Home and Alexa. Unfortunately I couldn’t integrate with the Siri Shortcuts app which is disappointing, but the product is still worth it.We were able to retrofit the dimmer component with our nicer looking faceplate from our old dumb dimmer switch. For the price, it seems a shame that the faceplate included is cheap looking and white plastic, but it’s easy enough to retrofit so it’s fine.Overall, this is a niche product but it works perfectly (with an LED Bypass) and it’s perfect for our home. I doubt many people would be willing to fork out the hefty amount but for those of us who want it it’s a dream-come-true product. I highly recommend if a standard smart bulb wouldn’t be good enough for you.

Stable connection, easy to pair, perfect dimming

I you're planning to use this as a 2 way switch, it's worth knowing that this doesn't work with standard UK 2 way switch wiring and some modification to the existing wiring will be needed. If you're planning to get an electrician to install this it likely won't be a big issue for them. But it probably won't be a straight swap with an existing dimmer if you were planning to install this yourself.I had bought 2 of these - one to use as a 1 way switch and one to use as a 2 way. I had to abandon the 2 way but the 1 way setup was very straight forward. It was a simple direct swap with the previous dimmer. It connected easily with the Tuya app and Alexa. Works very well. Behaves just like a regular dimmer switch but you have the option to use voice control or timers when you want.I installed the dimmer bypass at the same time as the switch - I'm not sure if I really needed it with my current bulbs but decided to install it anyway to avoid potential issues in the future when changing bulbs.Overall its a great smart dimmer switch - just a pity it doesn't work with standard 2 way UK wiring.

I've been looking for Zigbee compatible dimmers for a quite some time, and I did know there was such a device but never actually found it anywhere on sale here in the UK... until I found the Samotech SM311!I've now bought 2 of these and have them connected in two different light circuits, each with 5 IKEA Ledare GU10 400 lumen lamps and they work perfectly - and by that I mean complete dimming capability with absolutely no flicker at all!Also, you can connect this dimmer on circuits with or without a neutral (zero) line. In my case, I don't have a neutral available, so I just connected it following the instructions provided.I then paired it with my Zigbee2MQTT powered hub, which in turn provided the necessary endpoints in Home Assistant automation software to turn the lights on/off, set the brightness, and monitor the power!Very impressive and highly recommended!!

I don't have any photos as I was too eager to install this in my living room. But after almost 2 years of DIY solutions and alternate methods of controlling my living room downlights through my smart home system, this Zigbee dimmer has worked EXACTLY how I want it to! My wife no longer complains about how the previous dimmer would work intermittently - this Samotech SM323 dimmer works wonderfully. Only (slight) issue is the delay when pressing the button but I understand that's to differentiate between programming mode and performing an on/off action. Definitely recommend this to any smart home user if you want to retrofit a smart dimmer!

Even if you don't use the Zigbee functionality, this is a better dimmer than the standard fare. I have it controlling 12 x GU10 8W LEDs and it works flawlessly. Unlike a traditional dimmer, there are no end stops and it's easy to set the minimum brightness. I discovered there's a no-go area of brightness where the LEDs flash, but above and below that zone it works great. Quality product / feels solid. Also pairs with Zigbee2MQTT and HomeAssistant using the SONOFF Zigbee 3.0 USB Dongle Plus.

Setup easy enough with Smartlife app. Issues, dimmer below 20% lights just flicker. So set minimum in app to 20%. Try to use dimming function...no difference in output from 100% to 50%, output reduces slightly at 20%. So in a nutshell you have two output settings, 100% or 20% which is not much dimmer than 100%. I only purchased this as it was the only WiFi dimmer with two way and no neutral required I could find, all others are one way or require a neutral wire

Easy to install. Works with only two wires. Alexa does recognise the dimmer and works directly. Dimmer does the job well with led lights.

Der Zigbeedimmer SM311 lässt sich nicht mit der Philips Hue-Bridge koppeln. Die vom Verkäufer gelieferte Beschreibung funktioniert nicht und er hat auf die zweite Rückfrage nicht mehr geantwortet. Was soll das!? Das Teil geht somit leider retoure.Die eigentliche Phasenabschnitt Ansteuerung ist gut, nur nutzlos wenn das Gerät nicht Smarthome fähig ist.

Prima dimmer.Ik ben blij met deze SM311 fase afsnijding dimmer. Ik heb de dimmer met een blauwe draad (nul) op de dimmer aangesloten en getest (dus 3-draads). Dus ik kan niet zeggen hoe die met een 2-draads en/of Bypass module werkt!Met een dimbare LED-lamp, dimt die in fijne stapjes, tot een heel laag minimum en ook voluit. De lamp flikkert niet tijdens het dimmen en ook niet als je er mee stopt. zie ook de uitgebreide review op Tweakers.net.Fase afsnijding dimmers zijn het beste voor dimbare LED-lampen. Fase aansnijding dimmers zijn een stuk minder goed.Hij werkt op/via mijn Lupus XT2-plus Hub die ook Zigbee ondersteunt.

Schalter an sich ist wertig und dimmt auch, allerdings kann man ihn nicht an HUE anbinden. Damit für mich wertlos

Finally a Smart wired wall switch that properly works with Hue!!!!
