This macerator pump is fantastic! We use it and take it with us every time we go RV camping. We attached the pump to the black and gray waste lines, and then attached the other end to our a portable sewage wastewater tank that we set on the bed of our pickup truck. So If we are camping off grid or in a state park or campsite that does not have full hookup for sewage, we are able to pump the waste from our tanks on our trailer to our portable wastewater sewage tank in our truck and then take it to the dump site. What we love is that this enables us to camp for extended periods of time off grid or without hookups without having to move our trailer every time to dump our tanks! The pump is extremely quiet and has a strong motor. We have also camped at certain sites where the sewage and gray water lines can sometimes run uphill. This macerator pump allows us to send both gray and black water waste uphill if necessary to the portable tank for removal to the dump site. This makes our camping experience so much more convenient and joyful!

I ordered this to replace our slowing dying macerator pump that's been working overtime for the last 2 years. This unit is much quieter than our last one and seems to move a bit more material a bit faster. The 12 volt hookup is an easy reach to our battery and the large output connection gets the tanks emptied fast. I comes with an adapter if you wanted to hook to a garden hose and also a very handy shutoff valve, which is almost critical when clearing the tanks and the lines when you're done. We're very pleased with this pump and would recommend!

Summary: This is a heavy-duty macerator pump; it can handle just about anything you throw at it except tampons.Application: The grey tank for the RV that is parked on our side driveway is connected to our house sewer line. However, the black tank has a separate connection to the same house sewer line, so after the macerator pumps the black tank empty, we then dump the grey tank to flush everything thru. This method saves a lot of time, and also prevents any clogs in our system, since the macerator chews everything up as it pumps. Before using this method, dumping the black tank would sometimes clog the sewer line, creating a big mess!!Conclusion: Indispensable for our application and very useful for anyone that lives in an RV!!

Everyone loves to have a get away with the RV but at the end of the trip there is always the nasty job of emptying the black water tank. My husband hooked up this macerator pump to make that job move faster. Now that the materials and waste water flow through this pump and chop up the solids everything goes much quicker. this is 12V and instructions are easy to follow.

This pump seems to be heavy duty. It appears to me to be worth the asking price in my opinion.
