Miracle Dogs: Rescue Stories

I Just received my copy of this book and it is such a heartwarming and fabulous testament to the world of rescue which has come so far in recent years. . The photography is amazing and just draws you in. The huge smile on Chevy Chase's old yellow lab just melted me. I bought the book mostly because i know several people who are featured in it . While the AUTHOR might have gotten some of the details wrong - she conveyed the importance of rescue in general . I am a very proud volounteer ,supporter, and friend of Michelle Neufeld Montak and Gimme Shelter Animal Rescue . Thanks to Liz and all the wonderful animals and people in this book for putting a big smile on my face today (and tears of joy in my eyes ) ....

This book is a wonderful testament to the power of love and the joy that comes from owning a rescue dog. The stories are beautifully written and the photos are exceptional. Lighten up, haters! There is no reason to blast the entire book for one story that may or may not contain an inaccuracy. It seems like a conspiracy to me. It really took sixteen of you to write a one-star review, coincidentally on the exact same day, complaining about the exact same thing? How can people who profess to love animals be so mean-spirited? Talk about your "green-eyed monster"! The book should be read and accepted in the spirit with which it was created. It is without a doubt worth owning and sharing with fellow dog lovers.

This book is everything that is right in the world. Liz did an amazing job collecting such beautiful stories and the photography is spectacular. Lucky Lady is my favorite story and a must read. I've bought it for 3 friends already, so I can confirm this is a great gift idea! Thank you Liz for your wonderful work and I look forward to the sequel. Peace.

I loved the stories of these wonderful dogs and the fantastic people that have given them a chance for a second, wonderful life. I don't understand the negative reviews (sour grapes, or envy perhaps?), but I have this beautiful book out on my coffee table to encourage anyone that comes into my home to seriously consider adopting one of these deserving dogs.LOVE IT!

This is a very nice book, well written, lots of different rescue stories. What's not to love, the puppy on the cover is one of our dogs sisters!

Job well done! I have ordered several of the books to give my friends and family. Beautiful stories full of love and happiness. I hope this is the first of many editions to come.

This is a beautifully written book. The photo's tell a loving story in themselves! The people who rescue animals make the world a better place. Thank you for telling their stories.

I was disappointed with the book because the stories are really about the rescuers, rather than the animals. Maybe I misunderstood what the book's main topic was....don't get me wrong though. I think what these people are doing on behalf of the dogs is wonderful. I guess I just wanted to hear more about the dogs' stories than the humans.
