I have several Olympic type rifles that have very high sights and a deep pistol grip as well as an adjustable drop on the butt plate. These type of rifles (and some ARs with very high mounted scopes) are very deep top to bottom making it difficult to use a typical rack in a gun safe or locker. The sights hit the back wall (or rifles racked behind) before the barrel can nestle in the cradle.I use this on the sides of the safe and they create a large enough standoff to allow my 10 meter gun to be racked. I can leave my butt plate in the full down position and it still works, so I can just pull it from the safe and go straight to practice without messing around.The magnet is not super strong as some have stated, but for its designed use this is not a problem. You put it in the corner of the safe and leave it there. It stays fine. If you want something to move around a lot there are better options.

These fit great to fit more short and long guns in your safe or cabinet. Works with scopes or none. Bought 2 for the sides of my safe. Fits great and helps with shorter gins

No problem with product but wish someone would tell the Amazon driver that the back door is closer to the back than the front of the house.

Quality addition to my safe, better separating my rifles than the OEM foam, that is aparently too soft. Not cheap, but if you have a low cost gun safe, likely a must have.

Bought to place in my safe which is lined. Magnet wasn't strong enough to support it's own weight. Had to use a gun magnet to improve it's holding power. Appently, not designed for quality gun safes..
