I was almost ready to return this but I should have known the battery needs to be charged BEFORE you use it.UPDATE: The battery ONLY worked when it was charging on my computer, so I ordered some NEW batteries & now it works perfectly.Probably should have requested the seller supply new batteries, but oh well.

I had to knock off 1 star only because the switch activates way too easy. You can't carry it in a pocket or flat in a purse or backpack. Anything bumping the switch button will activate it. By rotating the 2 side lights to 90 degrees it does protect the switch somewhat, but it takes up more space that way. The light itself is very well made, very bright for its' size. The main light is the usual LED slightly bluish color temp., while the side lights are a little whiter temp. The main light is focus able by just pulling out to the desired beam. I like being able to charge the batt. with a USB cord. At 1st I couldn't see any light indicator (red or green). But I was using a cord I already had which was slightly fatter than the cord supplied & it was covering up the tiny light. But it's there. It came with 2 small, thin "O-rings", but I don't know what they're for. Directions don't mention them. I thought maybe they are seals where the swivel lights go, but I'm afraid to undo them because I might wreck it. One thing that's really nice is, walking at night, you can have the main light lighting the way ahead, while at the same time you can see where you're about to step. Anyway, this IS a very good light.. As I live with it, I'm finding uses I never thought of at 1st.

I've been giving my grandson a flashlight for Christmas every year for over 20 years, and it's getting hard to find something both interesting and affordable. This was a winner! It's small but amazingly bright and very versatile.

We purchased two of them to use with our road bike as safety apparatus. The shipment arrived and one of the flash lights was defective out of the box. We returned it and got another replacement. We used the replacement only couple of time before the flash light started acting up. It kept on shutting off every time after a few seconds we turn it on. We attempted to troubleshoot the problem ourselves, but all our efforts were in vain. The flash light will not stay on with fully charged battery. We contacted the seller for a resolution, and we were not able to effectively communicate with the seller. These flash lights were a waste of money and troublesome for us.We do not recommend this type of product. It would have been better for us to buy the lights from a local store where we could have had a recourse and better resolution for this kind of problem.

I bought this specifically because it had no magnetic base and I wanted a small, bright light to use around computer equipment. With this product I don't have to think twice about where to set it down to use both hands to work. With the swivel heads, I can lay it down or stand it on end anywhere, point the light where needed and not worry about doing any inadvertent magnetic harm.I would prefer that the "beam" selection was separate from on/off since I really have no use for the strobe option but since the original design seems intended for outdoor activity, I wouldn't deduct any stars for that nit. I also find the charging status indicator light to be difficult to see as it is mostly blocked by the usb jack.** Update 5/13/2019:Regrettably, I have to downgrade the rating to two stars since the swivel lights have quit working. While the original review was being validated by Amazon, I happened to use the light to work on some small electronics and found the swivel lights to be very dim. After a few on/off cycles, they quit working altogether. I tried a battery re-charge, but they still don't work. The main beam seems to be okay for now. Just missed the Amazon 30-day return window by 10 days or so. When it was fully functional, it was great, but my advice would be to test daily for the first 30 days. I'll try the Borbede email, will update again if I get favorable results that way.** Update 5/22/19:I got no response from the email address from Borbede.com so I tried using Amazon to contact the vendor and that worked. Borbede asked me to use the Amazon customer service process to ask for an exchange. After describing the problem to Amazon, they said they would exchange the unit I had for a new one. I have it now and its working as expected. Rating back to 5 stars.** Update 6/18/19:Except that it quit "working as expected" in short order. Same failure as before; a swivel light gave out. I'm guessing Borbede got a bad batch of LED bulbs somewhere. Without the swivel lights it didn't serve my needs so I sent it back w/refund. Rating back down to two stars since it was still partly functional.

My hubby loves this light, it was a little surprise and he likes the rotating lights and options to use lights in various ways. The rotating side lights are helpful when he is doing work outside at night, like plowing, if there is a noise he can quickly look under the plow at specific areas at the same time instead of moving from one area to another. He has a variety of flash lights and I see this is now one of his favorites.

Bought my Borbede LED on 2/7/2020. Charged it till light turned green before use. Very bright light. Very well built with a little weight. Used it once for car repair around 2/21/2020. Left it in the glove box afterwards. Went to use it yesterday, 4/11/2020, and the battery was dead. No problem, so I thought. Had it on the charger for 10hrs without any charge. The green light and red light stays on at the same time and that's it. Instructions says that red light means charging and green means charged. Nothing is mentioned about green and red on together. Either the unit is defective or the battery is. Waste of $15. Now I have to find a replacement battery and hope that's the problem. If it doesn't I'll be out the price of the LED light and replacement battery. I can't return or exchange because that time ran out 3/10/2020.

Bought this for my sister-in-law who lives in Oklahoma that way she can look for snakes and vultures and bears at the same time scary
