This device does exactly what I need, it allows me to operate my iPad and I can even use it to take notes using notes apps. If I need to, I can use it to draw and sketch using sketching apps. I've never used the Apple Pencil, so I can't compare, but for my needs this device is excellent.

After purchasing my six year old Granddaughter one of these for her birthday to use with her iPad I began to notice that my younger Grandchildren would take it and use it with ease on their iPads as well. I have now purchased three and would recommend to anyone and everyone that asks. There is nothing that this pen doesn’t do in comparison to the original brand that costs triple what this one does. Other than making sure to remember to charge it every now and then it has become one of the best things I have purchased by far for all of my littles. The younger ones are three years old and use it just as often when practicing with the pre-k apps and the educational apps that they enjoy even more with this pencil.

I miss placed my apple pencil so I thought I'd give this a try.Once paired and in working order, I notice no difference while using it.The difference is how it behaves while not in use. The original is pretty much always ready to go once I detach it. If the screen powered off and I wake up & unlock, the original still works.This one seems to disconnect once the screen goes to sleep. The only way I found to wake it back up is to reconnect it to the side of the ipad momentarily. Not a major inconvenience, but not quite as nice as the original.I bought the black one knowing it comes with an additional caveat. The black tip against a black screen is hard to visually detect. I tend to misalign it when lifting & placing the tip back down. I knew this would occur before buying it as I once bought black tips for my original white apple pencil. A trade off for style...

I found no difference between the Apple and this for a fraction of the price. I got 2.

Like many, I purchased an Apple pen and promptly lost it. A friend introduced me to a substitute that doesn’t cost an arm and leg . This pen does it all for all my needs at less than a quarter of the price! I am happy to have a pen I can afford that works the same as my original pen. I will definitely buy it again when I inevitably lose my current one!

For 1/4 the price of an Apple Pencil, this actually works really well for basic note-taking, simple drawing, etc. Not sure it would be the best choice for serious illustration.At first I was really impressed with the value. I rated it 2/5 for value here because when it's charging magnetically it absolutely kills the battery life of the iPad. After using the stylus for a few minutes after a full charge, I put it back in the case with the iPad. Less than a half-day later I looked and the iPad battery had dropped by 30 percentage points. If you're going to store it separately anyway and charge by cable, this is just an OK value. There are probably better options without the magnetic charging.

I like the pen. Has a nice weight which makes it comfortable to use and easily connects to my iPad mini

I saw this, and because it was a fraction of the cost for an Apple pencil decided to give it a try. It wowed me! It does everything the Apple pencil does at a price you can't beat. I also lie the color choices, so it won't be mistaken for someone's Apple pencil.
