LED Compatible Photo Cell Sensor, Dusk to Dawn Security Light Detection (Industrial)

Quality product, easy to install... Didn't check or think about in advance but really should have purchased a white one(if even available). Probably will just paint this one. Have attached to LED flood light.For the cost difference between this and cheaper models it's a no brainer as the cheapos don't work as well and are poor quality.

Easy to wire and works like a charm. Never have to worry about turning outside lights on and off.

I am happy with my sensor. It was a direct fit for my current outdoor lighting. It works well and turns off and on as it should. My only CON. was my sensor did not come with any directions. Luckily I was able to do an internet search for a wiring diagram. It is basic wiring but I do like to have directions just to be on the safe side.

This photo eye works well for replacing the 277 volt photo eye that went bad. Would have had to pay 2x as much through an electrical supply house for the same part.

Wish that this didn't turn on the lights when its still plenty of light out. Maybe photocell needs to be bigger. Not sure.

High hopes for this photo cell. High quality build, easy install, works great at first. However, I'm on my third unit and it's simply NOT worth trying. There's other ones on the market, stay away unless you like to keep items on your to-do list for regular repairs while burning 10-15 bucks at the same time.

I was having a carport built and wanted my recessed lights to turn on automatically. I found this solution and my electrician didn’t have any trouble. I THINK he installed this in series on the hot line...don’t quote me on that or throw shade if I got it wrong.

I was replacing a failed Dusk to dawn sensor that had worked for many years, and expected no problems. However, after installation, I saw that the lights were flickering on and off rapidly. I could actually hear the relay clicking in the unit. I uninstalled the unit and inspected more closely, and discovered that instead of the EverWatt unit I ordered, I had a "LongJoin JL-408CV" which was rated with a significantly lower capacity and isn't even sold on Amazon's site. I assume someone returned a defective unit they picked up elsewhere and it was shipped to me in error. Physically, the items look just alike.I'm giving this 2 stars as I can't completely blame the manufacturer for this, but it does say something about quality control and reshipping returned items. Rather than wait for another delivery, I'll go to the local box store and buy something similar for too much money so that I can get my lights back on.
