KZ ZEX Pro Earbuds with Microphone

These earbuds produce sound that is the equal or better of buds that are many times more expensive. The trick is to get good tips to ensure a good seal against your ear canals (the ones that come with them are so-so), and a good cable - yes, I know cables generally don't make a difference, but the ones that these come with are rather terrible. I spent about the same amount on a new cable as these earphones cost, but even with an effective doubling of the price, it was worth it. with a good source, these buds deliver some top quality audio, especially in the treble frequencies. I wouldn't use them for reference monitors, and they're not bass-heavy as is trendy these days, but these are serious audiophile earbuds for an unbelievably low price.

Certain anatomical reasons cause this to not be a good fit for me. I normally use big medium to large silicon tips. Was unable to get a good fit with the three supplied. And non of the ones I had laying around made it a good fit sadly so audio quality wise I can't really judge. My left ear in particular didn't like the shape of either the wrap around cord or the shape of the bud. Ears may adapt with time but it was a bit painful, as for the wire it looks like you potentially can modify the shape with like a hairdryer to make it fit better.

Très bonne qualité de son tant dans les aiguës que dans les graves même en écoutant une radio DAB. Très bon maintien des écouteurs dans l'oreille dans toutes les situations.

Hut ab, was man hier für ein Stück Technik für weit unter 50 € bekommt, Kombi aus DD, BA und EST ist schon ein Ansage. Im Blindtest würde der ZEX Pro auch gut und gerne für deutlich teurer durchgehen. Für einen IEM spielt er relativ neutral, sehr analytisch, mit tollem Staging und weiter Bühne. Oben herum verleiht er Aufnahmen, die dort entsprechend Auflösung mitbringen die notwendige Prise Luftigkeit. Durch diese gute Detailauflösung deckt er qualitative Schwächen einer Aufnahmen jedoch auch schonungslos auf. Übliches kaputt komprimiertes 128 kBit/s Streaming Gedöns klingt entsprechend grottig. Gute FLAC und HI-Res Aufnahmen sind hingegen eine wahre Freude. Ferner besitzt er einen hohen Wirkungsgrad und produziert zumindest an einem Samsung S10+ bereits ab 50% Lautstärke einen Pegel, der schon als sehr laut durchgeht. Vor kurzem testete ich den Truthear x Crinnacle Zero:RED - mit Verlaub, aber den stellt der ZEX Pro sehr locker in den Schatten - und das dazu noch zu einem günstigeren Preis. Das Zubehör ist beschränkt auf 3 Paar Silikon Ear Tips in S, M und L. Die mittleren sind bereits "ab Werk" aufgezogen. Für wen die passen, braucht sich die Fummelei mit Ear Tips aufziehen schon mal nicht antun. Tasche oder weitere Ear Tips sind nicht mit dabei, finde ich aber in Anbetracht des Preises nicht nachteilig, Mir ist es lieber, wenn der Großteil des Budgets im IEM selbst steckt, statt im Zubehör. Ferner: Ear Tips und Taschen kann man sich auch bei Bedarf so bestellen.

Not the clearest or cleanest sound, but pretty good for the price! I use these for stage monitoring playing live shows. They are perfect for this use... For everyday music anjoyment you could probably get a better sound, even though you would have to spend a lot more money... Overall, these are great for me :-) UPDATE: One year on and after only a handful of uses they've stopped working... I need to re-assess and maybe look at higher quality. They broke during a show when the volume was pushed a little higher than usual - nothing excessive. But, one side stopped working and the other side now has a high frequency hissing noise. So, yeah, careful about "saving" money - in the long run I have to spend more anyway.
