Smoooooooth, great dimming, easy to use

Honestly speaking, I bought this without thoroughly thinking where I would install it. The entire light fixture is embedded in a a flexible silicone. You can bend it in whatever shape you want. You can also cut the string length to fit your need. I thought about using it as under cabinet lighting. But the location of the installation is dictated by the power sources. I ended up installing it inside a bedroom closet, and it turned out great. The unit comes with mounting brackets and screws. I took one star off because if your power source is in the middle of your run, there is no way to split the string to run in two directions. Perhaps they should consider supplying a T adopter for such use case.

Reviewing LED Neon Rope Light 32' Warm White Dimmable.These come with 24v wall power supply and a dimmer module you can use or not use, per your choice.These do have some diffusion on them so each LED is not too brite. However not as much as some that I have that said they were "Neon" like. These still allowed you to see where the LEDs were and they are located and they are not very close together. I added a picture to see that finally.That said, I am still very happy with these so far. I like the color and that the diffusion is pretty good, yet maybe allows a little more brightness than some other "Neon" like ones. I think these could be perfect if the spacing between LEDs was about half on these and then you could reduce the voltage a little and get the same light without detecting where the LEDs were. Hence consistent brightness along the strip.I would buy these again though if I do not find a better deal/quality choice. Right now, these are among my favorite.

The Good:The light is extremely flexible, making it easy to bend into different shapes. It’s bright enough for my needs, and the included dimmer allows for easy adjustment.The Bad:There’s no power switch, so to turn it off, you’ll need to either unplug it or use the rotating dimmer switch. The light primarily comes out of the narrow strip at the bottom of the rope.Also, you can see the bright hot spots where the LEDs are through the diffusion, but not really noticeable from a distance.Other Considerations:The power cord comes with a dimmer, but a dedicated switch would have been more convenient.This light rope is not chainable, meaning there isn't a connector on the end to wire in another light rope.Final Thoughts:Overall, it’s flexible and bright enough for ambient lighting, or cabinet underlighting. Would have preferred an off/on switch but should be simple to wire one in if that's important to someone.

This is a nice simple 10 meter LED strip. It glows along its entire length on the narrow edge, though not perfectly uniformly - there's a brighter spot about every half inch where the next LED is, and then the plastic strip glows nicely until the next LED.There are no markings telling you where you can cut it, nor are there connectors to attach segments if you wished to try. I'm using this one whole (probably), though, so that's not an issue for me. If you're brave and electronics savvy it's pretty easy to take a pair of snips to it and experiment, but you'll probably need to get out the soldering iron.If I decide to section it up and do the electrician part, I'll come back here and update.Comes in three parts: The coiled-up light strip (which uncoils easily and holds no shape after it's been released), the dimmer control, and the power converter. It takes maybe 5 seconds to plug it all together - 10 seconds if you take off the twist-tie first. The dimmer does a nice job of smoothly controlling the light level throughout the brightness spectrum.It happened to arrive in a box that shows a rainbow-colored LED strip, but as intended when I ordered it, what I got was a white one.Very nice, easily to use, useful. Oh, and it comes with a baggie of mounting brackets that you screw into whatever you're attaching it to, and it holds the strip so that the light faces away from the attaching surface. (So if you screwed the brackets into the ceiling, the light would face the floor... if you screwed the brackets into the wall, the light would face into the room)

I really like how the lights are encased in silicone. There are mounting clips for about every two feet. The light strip is light enough in weight that that will probably work if the lights are being installed overhead. The second and third photos are a lame attempt to show how much difference in brightness you can get with the dimmer. It's actually much greater than the photos suggest. It's great light string. Recommended.

I wanted an LED Neon Rope Light Strip over my kitchen cabinets in order to have a soft glow instead of turning on the light every time I wanted a quick snack or a drink out of the refrigerator.They give off the soft glow I was looking for, have a step-less dimming switch, and the lights resume after a power outage.The light strip was easy to work with, and was even longer than I needed (and I have a large kitchen). Included in the box were clear plastic clips and screws for installation, but I just put the strip above the cabinets without needing the clips.

These warm white lights provide great ambiance. They can be bright, but also comes with an attached dimmer which is very handy - no remote to lose. We only used it indoor, and it just adds so much warmth and joy in the evening to our sun room which was only lit by a ceiling light before. It comes with hooks that you can install to set up the rope light. Highly recommended.
