Oil filter scams
Be carful of other brands of oil filters you put on you Subaru. Many are of substandard construction. Oil flow back is a common fault in some brands because of poor construction. This can cause excessive wear on engine parts that require oil at start up. This oil filter was made in Japan or Indonesia and was made specifically for Subaru products . It WORKS properly!

Genuine Subaru Filter, Matches Dealer Quality
I bought this Subaru 15208AA160 oil filter on Amazon and compared it with the same filter purchased from an official dealer. Both filters are identical in weight (225 grams), packaging, and overall appearance. The only difference is that the print on the dealer-purchased filter is slightly brighter. This seems to be due to minor manufacturing variations rather than quality. Otherwise, the Amazon filter matches the original perfectly. I recommend this product as a reliable and quality alternative.

This filter is OEM the reason I purchased, today 1/10/25 the price has jumped $4 to $17.99I will rethink purchasing again and find a suitable replacement, NOT PLAYING THE GOT YA GAME!This price increase is absurd! After all it’s not gold. UPDATE 1/25 I found a KnN filter for $2 less hp-1008 and highly rated as an excellent alternative, will fit my 2020 Subaru crosstrek.

Genuine oil filter 15208AA160 as described shows Made in Indonesia filter part # ending in A21A
Received the genuine Subaru oil filter (15208AA160). I was hesitant to order from this seller because the oil filter pictured shows Made in Indonesia Part ending in A21A even though it stated genuine Subaru oil filter 15208AA160 in the description. While the Made in Indonesia oil filter would work it is not really a Made in Japan filter. It was misleading somewhat but ordered anyway based upon the description and reviews since I could always return it. Recommend replacing picture of product with correct filter part number.
