Good kit for making moulds. Comes with everything needed to make a mould but to make any specific shapes you will need to use your own. Instructions are in the box, seems easy to use, the silicone is good quality, the bubbles degas with thorough mixing.

I do a lot of resin crafts and go through so many moulds, I thought I'd try and make my own to see if it was as easy as it looks....This kit contains equal measures of part A and B plus the measuring kit. I didn't have a proper mould housing so I created my own from some tape covered cardboard and a glue gun.The mixture was easy to measure and mix, there were some bubbles that popped with a bit of tapping.I had 2 attempts. The first attempt was awful - the silicone leaked everywhere and I ended up with a blob of mess on the outside of my makeshift housing and not enough silicone inside to cover the heart shape I was using - user error 1.The second attempt was better - I made sure my edges were well sealed on the inside and outside and used a lot more glue gun so I had no leakage then. I used the same heart shape and was thrilled when it came out perfectly - it captured every detail, even the tiny creases and was very well defined.My user error 2 was that when I went to fill my new mould, the resin all pooled to one side - I hadn't made sure my heart was perfectly level in the silicone so I ended up with a wonky mould! Again my own fault....So apart from the issues I had myself, this kit is superb. It's easy to use, the silicone is good quality, the bubbles disappear and it gets into every detail....

The complicated part of making moulds is the preparation - a suitable mould housing and an absolutely level surface. I generally use old pots (yoghurt, deli, takeaway containers) and mould release spray.I make prototype components for jewellery and use this to make moulds, so I can replicate them in epoxy or UV resin.This silicone works very well for the job, as long as the prep is good. It's liquid enough to get into all the fine details and produce an accurate mould. It degasses well, leaving no air bubbles.It's translucent when cured, so is suitable for use with UV resin, providing you don't overfill the housing and keep the base thin enough for UV light to penetrate.I don't know that I'd call it a kit, given that you need to find/make your own mould housing, but it is an effective, useful and large supply of good silicone mould compound.Price seems very competitive in the market.

Not quite a kit although the non stick Polythene measuring cups were useful, mixes up somewhat thin and slow setting which would make it unsuitable for making body part moulds but good to ensure all the air bubbles depart. On my first try I didn't get the test mix to set properley although subsequently it worked well so getting the ingredient proportions right would seem to be quite important. You could even use this stuff to make bouncy balls as it is extremely springy. Certainly a good and useful product I anticipate finding a rich and varied array of uses for.

Silicone Mould Making KitThis kit contains 2 bottles of silicone solution, one of type A and one of type B. You need to mix the two types together on a 1:1 ratio. To help with the process the kit includes measuring cups, gloves and stirrer sticks. It doesn’t include a container to make your moulds though so you will need to find a suitable container. You justwill then also need the item you want to mould. I found the process very simple, there are step by step instructions on the box and I ended up with a very acceptable candle mould. I then went on to make some perfectly formed candles and now have a mould that will serve me well for some time to come. Very happy with this product!

All you need to make moulds for casting resin.A decent amount of the two chemicals needed, plus all the other bits you will require. I've used this stuff before and it's excellent, easy and fun. I have used moulds to make resin castings - which came out really well - and also to press paper clay into to make papier-mâché 'castings', which also worked very well.I have a wonderful, quite large, antique Tibetan Buddhist metal flaming skull - a human skull with flames coming out each side - which i want to make a mould from, and I know this stuff will do a cracking job

This is a silicone rubber mold kit. The set has two bottles one marked with silicone rubber A and the other marked with silicone rubber B, each holds 20oz. There are Ten Lolli pop sticks to mix with, two mixing jugs that hold 100 ml each. Two pairs of Gloves for when you are making the mixture.There are no loose instructions inside the box, but on the top of the box, they have pictures that show you the process that you need to follow. They haven’t given you any sort of mold, to set the molding into so you are going to have to find something to use, or buy one specially.On the bottom of the box there are written instructions, they look easy enough to follow, use a one-to-one ratio, mixing together and stir for a full three to five minutes, then pouring over whatever you want to make the mold of, whether it’s a bar of soap, candle or a favorite ornament. Then let it cure for 6 to twelve hours. I suppose this will depend on how much you use.I haven’t used this yet but I’m looking forward to using it. I haven’t decided what to mold yet. I’m Going to make something and make a mold of that.There is no use by date anywhere on the bottles, but in the past, they normally have a 12month shelf life.

Das Silikonform-Herstellungs-Kit der Marke YumCraft beinhaltet 150 oz, umgerechnet sind das 4000 Gramm. In dem Set sind die beiden Komponenten mit jeweils 2000 Gramm, dazu 10 Mischbecher, 10 Holzrührstäbchen und 2 Paar Nitrilhandschuhe.Ich durfte bereits mehrere Silikone unterschiedlicher Hersteller testen und ich muss sagen, es gibt feine Unterschiede. Das Set von YumCraft lässt sich leicht abmessen, ich habe nach Gewicht und Volumen abgemessen, nach ungefähr 5 Minuten umrühren, waren beide Komponenten gut vermengt. Danach habe ich die Menge auf mehrere Becher aufgeteilt und spezielle Silikonfarbe beigefügt und nochmals ungefähr 2 Minuten umgerührt. Das Silikon hat die Farben sehr gut angenommen.Eventuelle Blasen steigen gut auf, um diese komplett zu entfernen, stelle ich die Becher in eine Kühlbox mit durchgekühlten Kühlakkus und lasse diese über Nacht in der Box stehen. Am nächsten Morgen ist das Silikon noch flüssig, bindet aber im Laufe des Tages gut und blasenfrei ab. Zum Test habe ich einen Becher in einen 14° Grad kalten Keller gestellt, drei Blasen sind übrig geblieben, der Rest hat sich gut aufgelöst und das Silikon hatte natürlich über Nacht abgebunden.Ich forme mit dem flüssigen Silikon selbstgeformte Figuren ab, um diese später mit Epoxidharz gießen zu können. Außerdem streiche ich hauchdünn auch Tischplatten und die selbstgebauten Nivellierbretter mit der Silikonmasse ein, um diese als Schutz zu nehmen.Die fertigen Formen sind mittelfest und lassen sich gut entformen. Details der Originalteile wurden alle übernommen.Ich bin sehr zufrieden und gebe sehr gern 5 Sterne.

Dieses Zwei-Komponenten Silikon-Set enthält alle Bestandteile, um selbst eigene Gussformen aus Silikon herzustellen.Neben den beiden Reagenzien befinden sich auch einige Paar Handschuhe und eine Gebrauchsanweisung in dem Set.Die Verarbeitung ist denkbar einfach, ähnlich wie beim direkten Guss von Epoxidharz. Die Fläche, auf der die Form gegossen wird, sollte unbedingt absolut eben sein. Dann funktioniert es auch gutIch habe bisher kleinere Metallgegenstände, z.B. kleine Totenköpfe, abgeformt. Mit den hergestellten Formen habe ich dann mit Epoxidharz selbst kleine Totenköpfe gegossen.Das Ergebnis ist durchaus sehr ansprechend. Der Detailgrad der Form sehr gut.Als Ausgangsmaterial für die Herstellung von Silikonformen sollte man auf keinen Fall im 3D-Drucker selbst gedruckte Drucke verwenden, denn die reagieren mit dem Silikon. Drucke aus dem 3D Drucker müssen daher vorher chemisch behandelt werden oder einfach lackiert werden.Die Aushärtungszeit der Silikons finde ich genau richtig, das geht nicht zu schnell und man hat noch ein wenig Zeit, dass auch Blasen aufsteigen können.Ein ordentliches Set, das ich bedenkenlos empfehlen kann.

Passt. Ich habe mittlerweile verschiedene Silikone ausprobiert. Im Grunde gehen alle ganz gut. Wichtig ist, wenn ihr Umschließungen habt, braucht ihr ggf. geringere Shore Stärke (kleinerer Shore Wert heißt weicher und fliebler). Heißt aber auch, dass für für den Harzguss ggf. wieder eine Umrandung braucht, fall bei sehr weichem Silikon, sich durch das Gewicht die Form leicht verändert.Meine Erfahrung ist, dass fast alle Anbieter eigentlich gehen. Ich bevorzuge lange Bearbeitungszeit. Dann kann man sich Zeit lassen, und Luft hat noch etwas zeit aufzusteigen. Das ist aber Geschmackssache.Für die 3D-Drucker: Es sei denn, dass sich in den letzten Monaten da was getan hat, Platinum vernetzendes Silikon reagiert mit Harz Drucker Drucken. Egal welches Harz und egal welcher Silikon Hersteller. Mal schlimm, mal weniger.Ich kenne nur eine einzige Option: Ihr müsst das Druck-Stück lackieren, oder überziehen. Es gibt dafür Inhibit-X. ich kenne momentan kein anderes Mittel und inhibit-X ist sehr teuer. Paar Hundert Milliliter Flasche würde 70-110 € kosten. Überlegt euch also, ob Ihr bereit seid passend zu infestieren, um aus dem 3d-Druck eine Form zu machen.
