Lexus could learn something about how to make a quality product from this one!
After having a second "factory" Lexus style key housing break at the top of the shank, I figured I should give a try with an after market FOB housing that would allow me to reuse the original shank. I figured it would be temporary fix (to punish the guilty party) until we wanted to deal with getting a new shaft cut--a requirement of the OEM style replacement FOBs.But, we are happy with this housing and we may never replace it.Observations:-Feels cheaper because of the plastic than the original Lexus hard plastic housing--but, it actually feels better quality and more rugged due to shape and size.-The FOB housing is missing the "lock/unlock" label...If you are the type that has to look at the label on the FOB to know what button to push, you probably should not be driving a Lexus (or any car) to begin with.Frankly, who really cares if my key fob has a big Lexus logo on the back. Oh...yea...some people drive a Lexus for appearance. In that case, just keep purchasing the original housings and paying to have a new shank cut every time!. That way the grocery clerk or the gym attendant can be impressed when you lay down your membership tag attached to the big Lexus key fob!One tip--when screwing the cover together, through the shank screw hole, keep the two plastic side pieces pinched tight against the shank. If you have a gap between the plastic sides, take the screw back out an try it again until it fits tight enough for your satisfaction.

Great product. Better than other replica Lexus key fobs
I have had to replace my Lexus key before and have had other replica Lexus key fobs that look like the original but are weak like the original Lexus key. This key fob is much stronger and the control unit fits. The buttons are a bit depressed compared to their position in a Lexus key. The control buttons work well and are more protected in the new fob but pushing them is a bit more difficult. When assembling the new fob, the bottom screw did not line up well with the hole in the key insert. I reamed it out a bit and the fob went together well. Probably the error was with the key hole which was from a replica fob. The key ring hole at the top of the replacement fob was too small and I drilled it out until the key ring fit well and had room to move. Both of these issues are minor for me if the fob case does not break like most replacements and even Lexus original key fobs.We have used this replacement fob for about 15 months now and it works great. It is strong and does not flex when used. The best replacement around.

Almost Perfect!
Almost a perfect replacement for a broken OEM key housing. I have two issues, one slightly smaller than the other. 1) The module buttons are a bit more recessed in the housing compared to OEM. For those with big fingers, this may be a problem for you. Not that big of a deal, but wanted to note it. 2) The keyring hole is very tiny! You can see in the pics that, compared to the OEM key housing, there's a night and day difference. This wouldn't be a big deal if this product's keyring hole was even half the size, but it's signficantly smaller. So much so that your keyring may not be able to fit well in the hole. I've tried 3 different sizes, sourced from various sets of keys, and none fit inside with enough "play" for easy movement when in my pocket, or hanging from the ignition. Instead the keyring is held quite rigidly.

Nearly as good as the original
The "case" holding the remote transmitter for my 2004 Lexus RX broke around three years ago. I ordered a third-party replacement housing for it, but the plastic loop that attaches to my key chain broke. That's when I found this llittle number and it's great! The hole for the key chain is a little small but it's usable and, more importantly, it's VERY durable! In addition, I love the look (almost as good as the original) and substantial feel of it. Need a replacement? THIS is the one to buy...and that is an unpaid, not-promotional-because-I-paid-full-price-for-it opinion!

Perfect fit
Perfect fit for my Lexus RX300 2003. Took the FOB guts out of the old plastic shell and had to break away the metal key prong from the plastic, but it was no big deal. The pieces fit like a glove. Works great. The dealership wanted over 500 dollars to replace the FOB. Then I got this idea and priced the shell at the dealership. They wanted 52 dollars. This is a great buy. Don't pay that outrageous price.

Very good
This is a very good fix, instead of spending a couple hundred bucks at the dealer. ONLY complaint is that the key ring hole is too small, but a drill will fix that.

Not enough.
Not fit 100%, little space make noise. Sometime the button is not working due to covered and pressed edge of buttons.
