Beautiful, concise guidance
A well presented, easy to understand book about healing God’s Way from childhood trauma. I appreciate the the great encouragement this book brings, and the gentle reminder that healing takes time. The pain of not understanding “why am I not good enough” and other issues can last a lifetime...this book helps me consider where I might be blocking my healing. Written especially for women, it seems many of the concepts could also be applicable for sons healing from parental absence or abuse. Thank you for the extensive bibliography for further reference, and for sharing what God has revealed to you for the healing of the Body of Christ. Praise God from Whom all blessings flow!

In the words of my father BP.
As a Christian and one familiar with the affairs of the church, I found this book ‘A Wound From My Father’ very informative and motivational. There are so many wounded Christians who truly love the Lord and are experiencing issues that they do not understand. A Wound from my Father is designed to meet the needs of not just Believers, but of all persons in some way or the other, that has experienced traumatic experiences in their childhood and that have taken them into adulthood.I like how Dr Simmons outlines the healing steps for an emotionally wounded person. If put into practice they can and will bring changes. A sure read!

Title: “A Wound From My Father” Testimonial by Eva Hyatt
“Dr. Rosnell Simmons’ ‘A Wound From My Father’ is a luminous exploration of the human spirit—its resilience, fragility, and capacity for endurance, and transformation. In this poignant publication, Dr. Simmons invites us into her world—a world shaped by the indelible mark left by her father. His words, both tender and cutting, echo across the pages, revealing the intricate tapestry of their relationship. As a reader, I walked alongside Dr. Simmons through the corridors of memory—the scent of ripening tropical fruits, the chirping sounds of the night , the whispered secrets shared under moonlight. Her prose is a balm for our own wounds—the ones we carry from childhood, etched into our souls. The narrative unfolds like a delicate dance. We witness the ache of unmet expectations, the longing for paternal approval, and the silent battles fought within. Dr. Simmons’ vulnerability is a gift; she doesn’t shy away from the jagged edges. But this isn’t merely a story of pain; it’s a testament to healing. Dr. Simmons embarks on a pilgrimage—a quest to mend the fractured bond with her father. Along the way, she discovers the power of forgiveness, the art of self-compassion, and the resilience of love. The chapters breathe with authenticity. We meet Ashley, a wounded soul- whose plight adds depth to the narrative, reminding us that healing often happens only if efforts are made. .Dr. Simmons tends to her emotional soil, planting seeds of hope. She shows us that scars need not define us; they can become fertile ground for growth.A Wound From My Father’ isn’t just a memoir; it’s a mirror reflecting our shared humanity. Dr. Simmons’ prose is a gentle touch on our own scars, urging us to embrace our brokenness. As I closed the final chapter, I felt a quiet resolve. Perhaps healing isn’t about erasing wounds; it’s about stitching them into the fabric of our life’s story.📚 Note: Dr. Rosnell Simmons’ book is a beacon for anyone navigating family complexities, seeking solace, or yearning for reconciliation. May we all find healing, one page at a time. 🌟

A Wound From My Father
An easy and very interesting read. A Wound From My Father uses illustrations to make the issues of childhood traumatic experiences much clearer. The real life examples used are timely, and the goal of overcoming the Father Wound by embracing God in a step by step format makes genuine healing very possible.

Excellent book for all people
This book is an easy read. It’s for the female but can be used for man and females . I like how it deals with childhood traumas that are carried into adulthood and how to deal with the absence of a father in the home .

“Pain Relief” for Multitudes!
My friend Dr. Simmons, nailed it with this book. The condition she discusses is likely at the center of multitudes in the world today - showing up as emotional outbursts, feeling unsettled within yourself, moodiness, failed relationships, one after another and many other symptoms. As a female, I well understand how my earthly father affected my heart while growing up and I’ve spent countless hours and dollars working to reverse the effects of interactions that worked against me and my purpose. Also, as a former educator in the public schools in America for 32 years, grades 7-12, the symptoms of the father-wound seeps out of many, many young people. The absence of fathers in the lives of children and youth has been a well-played hand of the enemy. But…that’s not the end of the story! As Roz shares in her book, God Almighty made a way to heal and restore our lives! If you have a deep pain in your heart and desire for it to be relieved then God has sent this book to show up just for you. Don’t hesitate- read, recover and renew your heart, then live the life you were created to live!
