Richard Peace's series on Spiritual formation (Journaling, Bible Reading, Autobiography, Prayer) is wonderful for the individual or in a group setting. His descriptions of the goals of each book and the chapters within are clear and well thought out. A must for those in ministry.

This is the absolutely best and most concise and most inspiring book I have encountered on a self-directed journey to write ones life story. It focuses not only on the tools for, but also the purpose of composing such a piece. Must have; must do, even for those who have not considered such a thing.

Had a group that got together every week and had gereral discussion through the early weeks. Then each person presented a spiritual autobiography and with different ages involved made this very interesting review of each.

There seems to be some unnecessary complexity in the structure of the book. You have to keep flipping from one section to another. I would prefer a linear organization from beginning to end. But the study on Abraham was good, a nice foundation for sharing personal stories. We used this book successfully in a small group of nine people.
