Mentadent SR Toothpaste Single Tube 100ml

Bought this for an elderly relative who had used SR toothpaste for years and wouldn't stop going on about it when it seemed to disappear from the shelves of most shops. Couldn't find it anywhere, so i was really pleased to be able to order it through Amazon. Delivery was quick, my elderly relative was very happy and so was i. The next week i found my local Wilkinsons had managed to get some stock and were selling it for just under a third of the price i paid here!

SR stands for Sodium Ricinoleate which was an ingredient in the original formulation of this toothpaste, when it was known as Gibbs SR. It was the first product to be advertised on ITV when the channel launched so will often crop up on quiz nights! You can catch the ad on Youtube if you are so inclined. SR now contains Zinc Citrate which I have found to be the most effective ingredient in preventing tartar build-up on my teeth - unfortunately very few other types of toothpaste contain it.I have used this toothpaste for many years and find it keeps my teeth cleaner than most other products I have tried, and my dentist always compliments me on my brushing - I use it with a Braun-OralB electric toothbrush.For some reason the product has become harder and harder to find over the last few years and until recently Sainsburys was the last major retailer to stock it in my area. However, it seems as though even they have given up on it now, and it is no longer available on their website either. Out of desperation I tried checking on Amazon and found a few sellers with it still available. I suppose I had better stock up while I can!SR is the most effective toothpaste I have ever used and has always been good value locally - why it is so hard to find is a complete mystery! Five stars for performance on my teeth!

My wife and I have been using SR toothpaste for, at a guess, over 50 years. Before the Internet and online purchase we would now be unable to buy SR as "there is no demand for it Sir" but there is and now that Sainsbury's has ceased to stock it is only online that one can buy. No dearer and excellent service. No wonder more and more folk, including us oldens are using it. All sorts of products are disappearing from the shops but are still available on line.

Having had problems with mouth ulcers for so long, I have been using a natural toothpaste for some time. Thought I would try this after reading reviews. Some people would not change to any other it seems.After the first couple of uses I found that my mouth ulcers returned. Must be the SLS. So I went backto the Aloe Vera toothpaste.All is not lost though - SR is excellent for scrubbing the grouting round the bath!!

I love Mentadent P which apparently has been discontinued so I thought this would be a great replacement but it’s MINT I hate mint, so I'm stuck now apart form kiddies tooth paste, Mentadent P was a great product and tasted great.

My favourite toothepaste, suddenly I can't find it in any high street shops anymore. But here it is, posted out to me in a timely fashion.Such a relief - I've tried other toothepastes and none compare! SR is light, refreshing and has a pleasant aftertaste.Why should I have to change? This is MY toothepaste - I choose it for life!

I have used this toothpaste now for ove 40 years. I am unable to purchase it anywhere from a store in my city. I can purchase it from this retailer and I do. I receive my supply in good shape and almost immediately. I am happy with the price and I know it is good value.

It would appear that supermarkets do not sell this product and I was pleased to find that it can be ordered on-line. As soon as you use it once, you will be hooked and will not buy another toothpaste! Even accounting for post and packaging costs it works out about the same price as you would pay for any toothpaste in the supermarkets.Delivery was quick and easy.
