Nextplay 7 Inch Multi Format Portable DVD Player

We bought this for a Christmas present for our 3 year old grandson. He LOVES it. Watches movies for hours at a time on it. The first time it was charged the charge only lasted for about 20 minutes. Thought there was a problem until it was charged again. Holds a charge for hours now. So far I would definitely recommend it. It's well constructed and heavy. Easy to operate for him, too.

I bought one of these for my 98 year-old mom who lives in a nursing home. Watching movies is her only joy. This was the third portable dvd player I had bought but neither of the other two lasted very long. I liked how simple and sturdy it was, and when I realized the charging part was separate, I was happier as mom's is not always charged and I could just switch the battery packs. It was good for a little while, and then the color was not good. I jiggled the screen and it worked better. I bought a second one so that I only had to deal with one charger, and one could be charging while the other one was being used. That one that I bought on e-bay lasted only about 1 month and just stopped working. I don't know how they are being treated, but I paid $60 for one and it didn't last a month. I just ordered 2 of a different brand. It has cost me hundreds of dollars and, quite honestly, I don't understand why this is such a dilemma. Why can't anyone make a unit that is good for children and elderly and actually lasts more than a couple of months?

I got this for my 2yo he wont stop pushing the buttons and opening it while using the attached screen (wish it had a cover or button lock) but while its connected to a separate tv, works perfectly.

Works great, tho if u use rubber ended ear buds u end up hearing a whirrr from the motor, but if u use the hard plastic ear buds u dont hear it as bad..I love that it comes with: a wall charger, a car charger, & cords to connect to a tv too. Really awesome with just the small issue of the motor but I can tolerate it. Just let ur battery breathe & not sit on pillows or blankets so it doesnt overheat ur battery

I bought this unit to replace an identical unit that after years of entertaining my one daughter, the battery stopped charging. It works great just like the original unit. Keeps the back seat so much quieter on long car trips.

This thing did not work unless it was plugged into the wall. We followed the instructions and chaged the player. The light is green reflecting we have a full charge but as soon as you unplug it there is ZERO power. Plugged in it worked great. It did not make a lot of noise and the sound quality was good. However we bought this to be portable not attached to the wall. We are sending this back as soon as I can get to a UPS drop off site.

Thankfully I was given a full refund when I purchased this item and it failed to charge at all. It seems this model is indeed a dud.
