Google Pixel 2 XL Case, MyGotec Shockproof Belt Clip Kickstand Holster Dual-Layer Durable Rugged Armor Case - Teal

This is a great case for my Google Pixel 2 XL. It's very durable and rugged enough for outdoor hiking or working construction. The clip holds extremely well on my pants, plus it has an easy release clip to release the phone from the case without having to unclip it from your clothes.

At first I was unsure about this case, but it's been growing on meThe case itself has 3 parts. A solid back piece which covers the main part of the back, except for a strip across the top and bottom, the TPU core which holds the phone itself and sports a subtle holographic insert across the top and bottom on the backside, and a solid plastic ring which encircles the front. The back piece and front ring snap together along the sides, thus sandwiching the TPU core in between. Once assembled, the case is hard plastic on the outside, aside from the TPU strips across the top and bottom on the back, the area around the buttons, and the inside edge around the phone bezel. The front of the case comes up well past the edge of the screen, helping to protect from damage should the phone fall face down. To disassemble the case you work your thumbnail around at the seam between the front and back pieces to release the snaps. Starting at the USB port seems to work the bestDuring assembly, the phone easily snaps into into the TPU, but it's not stretchy like I've seen on other cases. The TPU is beveled on the inside edge to match up with the curved sides of the phone screen, and has grooves on the inside back so small particles of grit won't scratch the phone back. The cutouts are all properly centered and generously sized. There's no dust cover on the USB port. The buttons don't have a lot of travel, due to the stiffness of the TPU material, and are slightly recessed into the side of the case. This made it quite difficult to power on/off the phone. After a bit of examination I discovered the pads on the backside of the buttons are a hair too short, resulting in extra travel to actually touch the buttons on the phone. I've added a thin plastic spacer behind the button pads (the clear lid from a Chinese takeout container was just right, the plastic from a Crystal Light container a bit too thick), and now the buttons work perfectly complete with tactile feedbackThe belt clip on the holster spins a full 360 degrees and has very stiff detents. The phone clip is large and holds the phone via two tabs which match up with corresponding detents on the side of the phone case. There are detents on both sides of the phone, so you can snap it in buttons up or buttons down. You hear a distinct click when the phone snaps in. The phone case is firmly held by the holster, but does rattle if you walk just right with the screen facing in. It's easiest to remove the phone using two hands, one to lift up on the clip and the other to support the phone, as the clip is strong but not painful to release. This works out great for me since I'm often up on ladders and don't want the phone to accidentally come unclippedThe phone case has a snap out stand for watching videos, as does the holster itself. To use the holster stand you snap in the phone, screen facing out, and open the belt clip as far as it will go. A tab holds the clip out, making a large sturdy stand

Was expecting a darker red like pictured but received a much lighter red looking case. The inner silicone sleeve was nice but the outer exoskeleton casing had a super cheap plastic feeling and the kickstand broke off within a month!

Good but I wished it had a full protecter like it states everything is covered except the front screen which is the most important to protect in my opinion
