I didn’t really know what to expect with this hair styling powder as I’ve always just used the usual styling gel to style my hair. I wanted to try something new/different that would give my hair some sort of ‘boost’ so when I saw this I thought maybe that’s the answer.It arrived as displayed in its container (which feels very lightweight). My hair is only getting thinner with age it seems so anything to prevent this from happening is always a win win. So I started using this about a week ago and I can say it hasn’t made my hair sticky as I’m used to with gels and it does give some volume to my hair which is great. It does hold this volume throughout the day although I haven’t tested it out on rollercoasters so I’m not sure how durable it really is when properly tested but it’s good for everyday activities.Upon opening the container I thought it may smell of something but it is fragrance free which will please most. I appreciate the applicator as it has a ‘shaker’ style design which helps keep the power from coming out in big piles and helps it evenly spread across your hair.The texture is like powder and I have not experienced any grease with this product which is good as for me that shows it’s good quality if it can hold my hair in a good style without being greasy.Overall, I think this is my new go to styling product as it’s a lot less messy and more convenient to use compared to any gels I’ve previously used and is actually more effective than them as well. I do think that you don’t get much product (15g) for the price point of £8.99 (upon this review) so it would be more value for money if it was like 30g, however I appreciate that powder is quite weightless so that 15g probably will last a long time anyway compared to the gels.

I really like the matte look offered by this hair styling powder, but unfortunately it doesn't have enough hold to keep my hair up for any length of time at all. I would describe my hair as being quite fine and straight, being swept over to the side at the front when styled.The product gives instructions for two ways of applying the powder: either by applying directly to the hair and working in with your fingers, or dispensing a small amount in your hands, working it and then styling your hair using your fingers. I have tried both methods with a good amount of the product and unfortunately it just doesn't have the strength to keep my hair styled for long at all (and that was before I went outside and the wind got into my hair).It is a shame as I did really like the way it made my hair look like it almost had no product in it at all when first styled. It may work better on other types of hair but this is just my experience.
