Very Funny
I was put off getting this as I read Alan's review and thought maybe it would not be as good as other Lee Mack stuff I had seen. Maybe because I wasn't expecting to enjoy it quite as much, I loved it! I didn't think the swearing was too gratuitous at all.As is commented below, we are all different and find different things funny. I have given away comedy DVDs before when someone I consider intellegent and funny just swears for the sake of it, but for £3 I thought this worth a punt and was glad I did.I do agree with other comments - he didn't seem to get as into his stride as before but it is still a good gig.Wierdly - some of the audience members had taken their kids with them! There was a 12 year old there amongst others. Why would you do that?? You know stand up involves swearing and reference to sexual stuff so we thought it bizaar someone would think their 12 year old was up to that level. Yup, they may well have heard all the same words before in the playground, but that doesn't mean this type of gig is child friendly. I wonder if this had a slight effect on the atmos.Anyway - for £3 - go for it!

Great Fun
Despite reading a poor review on this (titled 'Going Out and straight into the bin'), I opted to buy it as, previously mentioned, this guy just makes me laugh, period. While I agree with the reveiwer's comments that everyone has a diffrent sense of humour, I couldn't disagree more with the review. Yes, it isn't as funny as Live, and in some areas, notably the start, Lee takes time to warm up, but this is so much more than 'repeatedly shouting the "c" word and calling women in the audience fat and old' - I don't think I've found a more mis-leading statement about a product on any review. If you know Lee Mack, if you are familiar with his style and his comedy then there is nothing in this DVD that would disappoint. I don't want this to simply sound like a war of words but this is still worth watching and yes, that is purely my opinion.

A master at work - Bemused by some of the other reviews!
Not the biggest fan of Lee Mack, liked him on panel shows on TV, but hadn't seen his stand-up, so no expectations beforehand (I can see a lot are comparing with his previous DVD).I was blown over. This show made me laugh more than most, and I'm really surprised that the reviews on here aren't better, this stand-up show I found outstanding, so did my wife and friends I lent it to.I didn't find the DVD shocking as others did, he seems to be a really nice guy and it came across to me on screen? (not the same experience as I had when watching the latest Ricky Gervais stand-up - "science").Bit bemused by some of the reviews on here, maybe there is a clip somewhere you can watch online. For me, it is up there with Eddie Izzard - "Definite Article", Peter Kay - "Bungalow tour" and Stewart Lee - "Stand-up comedian", and for someone who isn't (wasn't?) a fan that is high praise! All I'm saying is, before listening to the naysayers, try and find a clip somewhere and make your mind up after watching it, because if you like comedy and you don't watch this you could be missing out.

love lee mack, but not as funny as his last standup
as the title of my review says, this was funny, better towards the 2nd half of dvd, but not as hilaaaaarious as his last dvd-the green cover.(friends who have watched both agree). on the interview on the extras, he says he is knackered as he's prepping/writing for his sitcom "not going out" at the same time as his tour, so i just wonder if Lee has been trying to do too much at once.....not as edgy & energetic as he ususally is, or maybe it was just the london audience???!!! wish he would come to south east on tour.

Very funny!
If you like Lee Mack then this is a must buy. This is a classic case of an item doing what is says on the tin. This is typical Lee Mack, an absolutely buzzing, fast-paced, hilarious, confident performance. Lee works the audience well and manages the question and answer session with aplomb. There are a few surprises, including the 'magic' trick at the start. My only problem with this is that it's over all too quickly. To lessen the impact of this, there's a great 'on tour with Lee Mack' extra, which is really insightful viewing. Really enjoyed it and would recommend it for any Lee Mack fans. There is quite a bit of swearing so probably not a great buy for younger viewers.

Entertaining, But Not Lee Mack at his Best!
I bought this DVD because I am a huge fan of Not Going Out and Lee Mack in general (he's brilliant in both "Not Going Out" and "Would I Lie to You?"). This DVD never really made me laugh, it made me chuckle a few times, but I can't recall ever actually laughing like I do when I watch Lee in other shows. I watched it the whole way through and it was entertaining, but it's not something I am going to watch again for quite some time. A bit of a letdown as I thought Lee Mack was better than that. In future I am going to stick to "Not Going Out" and "Would I Lie to You?" I think.
