Hauptstadtkoffer - Spree

I got this mainly for the 360 degree wheels (Etihad aisles are too narrow for my old Delsey). It looks good and combines a hard shell with an expansion capability for those trips when you collect too many documents to fit in the briefcase. On the negative side those wheels seem a bit flimsy - I doubt they would survive Alitalia's baggage handlers. The extending handle is also flimsy and jiggles about quite a bit, affecting steering. When I have a loaded briefcase on top they seem to bend a bity (after only 2 tirps it is getting harder to extend and close the handle) and the whole thing becomes very top heavy

Very smart!This medium sized suitcase is exactly as described by the manufacturer. It is also quite smart looking as well. I've only just received it, and am sure it will take quite a beating in the years to come, but it looks like it's more than capable of handling typical misuse by luggage handlers!1) It is the size I wanted - exactly.2) It is the colour and material I expected - exactly.3) It was a very good price for the quality of the piece.Will try to remember to come back to this after a few uses to provide further feedback. NB: This case was actually shipped by Amazon from Germany. I ordered it on 2nd Sep, and received it via UPS on 7th Sep. There was no extra charge for freight. That's a bargain hard to beat for sure! (:-)

Bought this for a family member. Had to return them because the first time they used the small carry-on case the stitching started to come undone on the zip. Amazon were really helpful with the return and refund. It's obviously not a unique problem however, as I went to a different company and bought a different brand of luggage, and one of the larger cases has exactly the same problem. I have two other cases from this brand and they have been fine, so it's obviously down to quality control, presumably in China.

Telescopic handle didn't work properly and eventually one side fell off. I tried to fix it and ended up removing it. The problem with this size of suitcase is trying to return it (to be honest, I didn't bother). Now trying to live with it without a telescopic handle. Case is sturdy and good with the wheels. Going through airports, I was able to get my 6 year old daughter to sit on it as I wheeled it through crowds holding the case handle (don't worry she wrapped her arms around my arm and not get lost in the crowd). Bought it for the colour but starting to look scratched and worn after 5 flights.

Great quality item... Instructions and guarantee all in German, but google translator sorted that out in minutes and if you search online, there are English versions to print off. Slightly smaller than I thought, but there is a zip that releases and extra piece of material between the shell halves making it 3" deeper. Beautiful item, strong and will last... Very happy :)

this hand luggage looks smart in navy, not as boring as black but not too flashy; it is also sturdy with plenty of space - 48 liter being one of the biggest you can get for a hand luggage -. it is very easy to wheel around and can be extended. very good quality plus very good customer service (the item was delivered on the day I requested at no extra charge, friendly staff)

Great price for very well put together items. Silent wheels are smart, and the overall look of the product looks classy and more expensive than they actually are.
